You guys! That was fun, Lisa you rock your minimal mix and match clothing choices. love those black 3/4 pants, so versatile and “ non touristy looking”. You have inspired my travel wardrobe. Cotopaxi have just opened a store in Australia, and I ❤️❤️❤️ the colourful backpack, and the story behind their individual designs. Cheers from Australia 🇦🇺

Definitely!! Every time we make a big move, we reassess our whole bag, repack and declutter the things we haven't used or worn in a while

I found a thin denim (looking!) jacket. It’s made of tencel so super light. Not sure if it would get too wrinkly but love that it’s not bulky ☺️ It’s from Tommy Bahama called the O’Lei Jacket. I’ll be on the hunt for similar flowy black pants!

@LisaAndJosh2 жыл бұрын
great q! never had any issues with the toothbrush. In Thailand, we couldn't carry-on scissors, but you could check them (so we don't have them anymore)

Hey guys. Why the 35 litter and not a 40+? Weight on flights? Problems internationally?
Josh, you commented on using a waist wallet as something NOT to do. That made me wonder, where do you keep your passports, credit cards, etc??
@LisaAndJosh2 жыл бұрын
Hey Kim, I generally try not to carry all of my personal belongings with me at all times--I try to keep the bare minimum with me during the day..so I'll bring one credit card usually, minimal cash, and my passport, (if I absolutely need it,) in a small wallet or backpack with me

Lisa do you have some recommendations for swimsuits? Preferably some that go up to larger sizes! Also is it more acceptable in some places to wear one pieces? Super curious if there’s been places you’ve gone that are more conservative!

Sorry you got snagged by the Australiasia/Asia 7kg baggage limit. It's basically a con to make you fail at carry-on only Jetstar in particular knows you will likely fail and whizzes around the gate lounge with a scale on wheels, looking for potential victims. In this part of the world, the weight of the actual empty bag has a bigger impact than it would in N America or Europe.. Even Ryanair lets you bring 10kg

Ah yes. The curse of long term travel: MORE STUFF! I like to play a game when I get to a new location/country: what's the one thing I can get rid of? So I get rid of it, then sometimes sometimes not buy a new thing to replace it. Also: SHIP STUFF HOME. You'd be surprised how inexpensive it is to ship things from SE Asian countries. Ship all the souvenirs. Worth the cost.

When I travel, the clothes I take, including underwear, may not come back with me. I have been known to leave socks, underwear, T-shirts & even shoes behind 😁
@LisaAndJosh2 жыл бұрын
yes!! every time we re-pack our bags after a new place, we think "what have I not used/worn in a month?" we have definitely learned to let go of things while traveling--or trading things out, as I like to think about it :) shipping stuff home is a great idea too!!

hi after watching your video i just subscribed to your channel :) awesome video :) Wow lisa, i love your navy pants and the top you wore with them for the video, just stunning and very dressy :) i would love to buy something similar, where did you buy them both please? The back pack, im definitely going to think of purchasing :) we have our first ever cruise booked in a month :) on the first cruise from australia in over 2 years, so super excited :) that back pack would be perfect for my partner to carry as our day bag :) are you both australian? i thought you both had an aussie accent :) loved your video and glad to be apart of your page :) love from tasmania australia :)

Hi Debbie!! thanks for finding us and for subscribing! thanks for the compliment!! The pants were from Target, actually, in the US, and the zebra top was from Old Navy, also in the US. But as we've been traveling through different countries, especially in Asia, I've found a ton of wide legged cropped pants across many stores. I'm on the hunt for more, because they're so stylish here! :)

Hi Lisa & Josh, just found your channel and have to tell you that you two are just so darn cute! Lots of great info. I'm someone that doesn't travel often and so when I do I need people like you to guide me on how to do it. My sister and I seriously overpacked on our last trip and I think we made everyone laugh because of it. It was hysterical and impractical. Anyway, thanks for your content. Well done. Lisa, I love that green dress you have, especially with that beautiful scarf - I hope you kept it (advice from the overpacker here :) )

I have watched so many videos on how to pack for 6 months travel in carry on. And have had to have a giggle as this is NOT happening in Australia as our airline have a 7 kg inclusive limit for carry on and in all of the videos have the carry on and a personal item again NOT HAPPENING in Australia 🇦🇺
@sweetiedarl68022 жыл бұрын
When I knew that you were flying domestic budget airline and had to work within the 7 kilos, I knew that you got stung by JETSTAR! They are notoriously strict with carry on!
