Lisa n Josh, I've followed you since I came across to your camino vlogs. Thanks for being adventurous n still considered visiting my country, the Philippines inspite of the warnings you received. I think you visited Manila at the start of a major Catholic event, the Holy Week, chose destinations off the beaten track n experienced Filipino hospitality. Sweet potatoes were used in Max’s fries. I hope you consider visiting other destinations in the Philippines like Batanes, surfing in La Union or Baler & the rice terraces of the Cordilleras in Luzon, the beaches of Bohol & Negros & the festivals in Camiguin, Davao n Iloilo.

Love your blogs! At 1:01:23, what really touches my heart is witnessing the struggles of stray animals. I sincerely hope that the Philippines will take decisive action to address the issue of stray dogs, cats, and other animals. Essential measures such as spaying/neutering, licensing for sellers and breeders, and implementing strict regulations are crucial. Especially during the summer months, it's heart-wrenching to see their suffering. Seeing dogs crammed into small kennels for sale, chained indefinitely, or confined to tiny spaces all day is truly distressing. My greatest wish is for every animal to find a loving and nurturing home where they are genuinely cherished. After recently spending three weeks there, it's disheartening to witness so many stray animals being mistreated, which makes it challenging to fully enjoy the experience. I fervently pray that the government will take effective steps to enhance the welfare of both current and future animals.

if you are on a budget and you want to travel Philippines and enjoy the beautiful beaches and nature, i would recommend you start in Moalboal in Cebu. it has beautiful water falls, million sardines, then take a ferry going to beautiful Siquijor island, it so worth it.

Next time you goto Palawan.......I highly recommend Port Barton. It's my favourite place in Palawan......really enjoyed it there......chilled out with great snorkeling

Blissful adventures, always look forward to your videos. You like to hold your snacks with your bare hands... do you get handwashing stations or carry sanitizer? The dirt and bacteria on surfaces while using public transport can result in food poisoning or running stomach, vomiting or typhoid. Keep safe!

It's weird that the ferry from Coron to Manila takes 20 hours now. Before the pandemic, it was an overnight ferry. I did it going from Manila to Coron and it took like 10-12 hours, and a lot cheaper than flying

Been there twice. In my opinion it’s not worth the long lines and wait. It’s just a dark cave and the smell of guano the bats droppings. You’re on a boat and it’s dark inside. They give you a headlight strap on your hardhat and an earplug to listen to the narration. Inside the cave you see various rock formations & stalactites. Better to take a boat trip or island hopping on Honda Bay. I take Grab similar to Uber while in Puerto Princesa.

the hate for Manila is absolutely blown out of proportion, the pickpockets, the slums, and the hectic areas is NOT found in the ENTIRE Manila. Manila is huge and for some reason, people saw a tiny speck of negative in one place and for some reason generalized it for the entire city even though that's not the case at all

as a foreigner ive lived in manila for almost 3 months on and off in various locations across the city (only 1 night in makati and bgc, so i havent just stayed in that bubble). the traffic is a nightmare, and yes there are some pretty run down areas, but ive never had a problem and am looking forward to my next 2 months. its definitely great to get out to the islands and go proper holidaying, but manila is a great base of operations.
