Great job Lisa! I was wondering if you could do a video on the AAD/Microsoft Entra ID table. Trying to do a lookup from a custom employee table to the AAD table but one-one relationship does not exist in Dataverse

You rock Lisa! Could you make a video on the non-profit accelerator? There aren't many resources for setting up and using the app.

Hi Julia - thanks so much, and absolutely, I will - I do a lot of work with the nonprofit side of the platform in my day job actually. You'll find with the accelerator that there is still quite a bit of work to build around it - it's mostly a data model with a few basic app elements to get you started. If you want a fully finished app you might want to look at Dynamics 365 Fundraising and Engagement (which is a fully built app on top of that accelerator data model).

Great information as always! I have one doubt is there any way to run ssrs report on Work Order in model driven power app?

Please explain the features with the help of demo. It would be easy to understand for everyone if you show these features on your PC screen.

Hi Vivek, there are plenty of demo videos here on my channel. When new features are announced they are announced in advance so they are not available to demo at the time of recording this.

Great as always! When you say nested grids, does that mean that we will be able to filter one column by another and get a dropdown of the "relevant" choices in the grid view (which we only can do in the main form view as of now)?

It's always tricky with new release announcements because they don't give out a lot of detail. I'm thinking it will at least be the ability to "group by" certain categories in the main grid and open/close sections.

I hope so! I have tried it using the current editable subgrid control and weirdly, when first trying to enter data I got every possible value, but after I navigated in and out of the actual main form, it suddenly filtered!

Great video :) Could you please explain simply; What is the difference between dynamics and model driven apps? Is dynamics just a model driven app? :)
@juansepowerplatform2 жыл бұрын
Yes, the dynamics 365 products (sales, customer service etc..) are super charged model driven apps. they come enhanced with a lot of java, C# plugins that allows them to do more. You can develop the same with model driven apps but need to know about the pro-code side of model driven apps, like java plug ins

Yes, Dynamics 365 is a model driven app. Both model driven apps and Dynamics 365 are built on Dataverse. The difference is that with a model-driven app you build up your own app from the ground up with the tables, views, forms etc. whereas with Dynamics 365 it's a finished/first party/highly sophisticated model-driven app with a heap of that already done, plus a heap of business logic added, and then the ability to leverage cool out of the box dashboards and AI features. You'd never be able to build all that and keep up with it for less than the cost of buying it. So if your use case fits Dynamics 365 - e.g. a sales or customer service scenario, you're likely better off starting there (and then you can configure with the same tools) If not, then model driven apps let you choose your own adventure.
