Hi, it sounds really cool. Do you use Adobe Illustrator on your PC or as App on your tablet? Or is this the same?

Hi! Great questions! For this class you'll need the full desktop version of Adobe illustrator, the reason for this is we'll be using a few features to speed up our workflow that is only available on the desktop version. Hope that answers your question!

Thanks for the video! what do you do when don't have enough layer left?
@Lisaglanz3 ай бұрын
Do you mean in Procreate? You'll need to flatten layers to make more available, but make a copy of the original document first to keep the layered file in case you want to make changes.

@@Lisaglanz thanks for responding, Yes in procreate, do you mean merging all/important layers? also what ipad model do you use?

@@punotomalf6408 I have iPad Pro 12.9-inch (6th Gen). This is the method I used when I had a smaller iPad: Paint until you reach your layer limit. Once you've used them up, save a copy of that file, then flatten the layers you've already painted in your copied document, but keep layers unflattened that you need to apply clipping masks to. Now you can continue painting on the new layers you've made available. This method means you will still have the original layers saved in each document in the various stages of your creation. I used this method a lot when I had a small iPad, this is my preferred method.

Hi Lisa! Any possibility of this class using Procreate and Affinity Designer?
@Lisaglanz5 ай бұрын
Hi! You will definitely benefit from watching the workflows of how I use the raster images with vector elements. You will also find it much easier to recolour your raster files using the pixel persona. However, I use the Adobe Illustrator trace tool in class to convert some elements to vector which Affinity doesn't have. I also make use of the Pattern Tool in Adobe Illustrator for the second project - you could make use of the Symbols feature in Affinity as a work around. So in short, you won't be able to vectorise some of the elements you import into Affinity from Procreate like I do in the first project, however you will definitely benefit from the other workflows I show in class which you can achieve in Affinity. Hope that answers your question!
