@@TheMicroTrak ……Um……no he's not? He had a wife, and a child with said wife, and he loved them dearly enough that avenging them was his sole motivation for how many years? He slowly falls in love with Lisbon over the course of the show - the series finale is them getting married - and the actor isn't gay either, he also has a wife and kids. So no, he's not. Now mind you, if I didn't know the character's backstory, I would have pegged him as being asexual - he reminds me of my best friend, both too childish and too mature to be interested about that sort of thing; but knowing his story, he's clearly not queer, he just doesn't obsess over that sort of thing like most people do. The point of this comment was that he seemed jealous…Am I being trolled? Because you've failed at upsetting me, and I type as easily as I breathe so this isn't an inconvenience…you've just mildly bemused me.

@@cameronhubbard415 -- I agree. Everyone's always swooning like bobble heads over Simon Baker and completely disregarding Robin's particular appeal. Simon's gloriously beautiful, but even as a hetero female, I find Robin Tunney's portrayal of Lisbon to be irresistible. She's incredibly strong and capable, fiercely loyal and 100% there for the people she loves and respects, and when Jane deserved it, she punched him in the nose. She's mostly unafraid to hold penetrating eye contact, which means she's very direct and doesn't back down easily. Also, her petite frame is a perfect compliment to Simon's, the brunette shade of her hair is reminiscent of mink and her eyes are just as dreamy as his. Robin Tunney's a frigging catch!

This scene is so deep, Lisbon not just hate to be vulnerable, that's why she didn't want Jane inside her head, but the simple fear that she could be capable of murdering crushed her, she is too honest and good, she is a very special person that truly believes in truth and justice, so to believe for a second that could have done something horrible like her father did and didn't remember as she brought to memory after was truly hard on her. When she accepeted being hypnotized by Jane was her last desperate move, her face here when she wants to end this fast she is transparent as Jane says, great acting, and when she can't get her answer still afraid of doing something terrible and even Jane couldn't help her she was more vulnerable than ever so she wants to be alone, she must be strong always, it's who she is, and he knows it, he gets her. msinvincible2000 The people in this show are being portrayed as somnambulists (easily hypnotized). I always search for somnambulists during my stage tour as they react the best to commands. While the average person may not become entranced as easily as these actors/actresses portray, it's still possible. I was originally taught to hypnotize someone via handshake interruption after I've just met someone. It's a street technique and an effective one. However, I've also met people who went to several other hypnotists without success before giving me a try (and succeeding). As I often teach my students to inform people, seeing a Hypnotist can be like a relationship, just because one doesn't work out, doesn't mean none of them will :)

Celebrities have used hypnosis to overcome habits/phobias & actress Jessica Alba (if I recall correctly) used Hypnosis instead of hospital anesthesia to birth one of her babies. Hypnotherapy by Dave Elman may be a worthwhile read for you :)

It is. Don't follow down on that path though. Don't even think about looking up where to find a college with hypnosis or hypnotherapy program. It's quite dangerous. Only a few grads being able to function properly in order to contribute to society in meaningful ways. Many of them ends up with opening up psychic reading shops instead. Basically, it's not the mainstream career path and usually frowned upon by modern society. I would not recommend it to you. Beside, it's not a regular campus either since most the people you see there would be very suspicious of each others because being afraid of getting hipzotized by the person they talk to. So it isn't a normal college experience with parties and drinkings.
@JonWayes6 жыл бұрын
a•muse Hypnosis in/of itself is nothing more than mental/physical relaxation. Hypnotic phenomenon is when you become so mentally/physically relaxed that you act as you would under, say, the influence of alcohol. Thus, while you can enter an altered state under hypnosis, it’s honestly no different than a state you could self-induce. Comedy stage hypnotists have actually grown in popularity and are much more common than ever before. They enable students to de-stress, alleviate anxiety and actually improve their mental/physical states while allowing them to have fun without worry. Many, including myself, have helped countless people understand the psychological truth (not the Hollywood BS) behind Hypnosis. I’ve managed to hypnotize at least one skeptic every show without a single negative review from said volunteers or surrounding guests/staff on my tour. I strongly advise everyone do their own research to ensure a hypnotist they may see is one they can trust. However, I am not a fan of people misinforming others’ about the dangers of hypnosis. Hypnosis is natural & based on my experience as a touring professional who’s guest taught college psychology, most who are scared of it don’t truly understand it (because most hypnotists don’t thoroughly explain it). Yes, there are immoral/unethical hypnotists out there but to say all hypnotists are bad is like saying all of a single gender is bad due to one bad relationship (which is illogical). Hypnosis is an experience to witness 1st hand without the clouding judgement of others (many of whom misunderstand it without their own experience). If you’re curious and want to have fun, volunteer with a hypnotist you trust, otherwise simply interview the volunteers post-show 🙂
