heyy! i'm a bit older than you (let's say a bit haha I'm 32 now) and I went on my first solo trip only last year. i'm from lisbon and went to helsinki by myself. it was scary but freeing! I found your video and was glad you had fun in my city! one thing: eat a pastel de nata as you wish, cold, warm, whatever haha there's also a way some people prefer to eat it (me included) which is...with a spoon haha you take all the filling and then fold the crust and eat it😅 most people don't do it so they kinda judge but I don't care because I feel understood by some others 🤣

You simply can't eat your way through Portugal in just a few days... :) Once you get your fill of Natas, there are plenty of other tasty treats. I learned the hard way (too) that Google is NOT the answer to European Portuguese pronunciation... it doesn't even know European Portuguese. I like a cold Pastel de Nata... without cinnamon (and I love cinnamon). I think Lisboa is the perfect place to do your first solo holiday!

lots of walking! took the tram a few times and also Uber for longer distances - It’s so cheap there !

Actually the operating word is pastel. Pastel de nata means pastry of cream. We in portugal often short it to pastel when not bothering with the ful name, unless we are trying to differencuate it from other type of pasteis which those made of bacalhau are not pastries at all but salted eats we call salgados.
