LISBON November 2020 - Walking Tour around the Alfama and Graça districts, visiting some churches and spectacular viewpoints
We often like doing the walking tours from various guidebooks, and invariably get lost en route! This time we decided to do the tour backwards, which took a bit to get used to at first!

I loved your video about my hometown Lisbon. I strong agree with you when you say Miradouro da Senhora do Monte is Lisbon best viewpoint. You should try the cream tarts, called "pasteis de nata" or "pasteis de Belém". Cheers

Lisboa is a favorite of ours for sure and we were so looking forward to spending more time there in our adventures. Great video, you showed us so many sites we've never seen! When you mentioned the toilets were 50 cents, do they take US quarters? My biggest worry are the bathrooms because I have an over active bladder.

Hello Janet! The toilets mentioned were €0.50, so probably wouldn't take US quarters. One major tip I can give you is to look out for supermarkets, as in Portugal they tend to have free toilets at the front of the store. Exceptions have been at the Lidl in Sete Rios train station, and the Pingo Doce in the centre of Caldas da Rainha, as neither of those stores had public toilets! ~ Mandy

@@janetf3377 We've found that banks and money exchange places only have notes, not coins, of foreign currency. Make sure you ask for some small denomination notes, to be able to easily change them for coins in Lisbon. An important thing to note is that only the US uses the word quarter in reference to a coin... it's just euros and cents in Portugal, ie 25 cents. Wishing you a great time in Portugal! ~ Mandy 😁😀

Lee here. I think it was about 12 hours if I remember correctly. Take the overnight one to save on accommodation and arrive in Tallinn nice and early in the morning. 😃

@@FrugalTravellers it's because lux are showing no journeys so I cant get accurate times and i know you guys did it. But I'm wondering if a flight from Vilnius to tallin might be better .

@D.o.c McSHUFFLEs I just checked the ticket. We left Vilnius at 10:50pm and arrived in Tallinn at 6:55am. As I'm sure you've gathered by now, we always choose to travel overland rather than fly, but understand not everyone has the time or inclination to spend a night on a bus :)

@@FrugalTravellers here's my dilemma. I have 4 days to do Vilnius and Tallinn . I've done both before but I'll be going back for 4 days .my main issue is the UK flight If I fly from Liverpool I'll park there fly to Vilnius. Then I'd happily do an over night bus to tallin saves me accomodation one night. However the flight back is from Vilnius also as there are no flights to Liverpool from tallin . I have to fly from tallin to London . But my car is at Liverpool airport . So unless I can get a decent train from stanstead to Liverpool airport I'm up shit creak. So I'll need to do Liverpool Vilnius , Vilnius to tallin , tallin back to Vilnius and vlinus back of Liverpool all within 4 days

I'm sory the Sé or Catedral is in romanic style, that round big window it's topical of the romanic. Jerónimos is a portuguese version of late the gótico, called Manuelino, from D. Manuel the king of the biggest discoverys, like the way to India(1498) by sea and Brasil(1500).
