Lisinopril and other ACE-Inhibitors are very commonly used by doctors to treat several chronic conditions, but can lead to a severe mineral deficiency that most doctors don't know, or have forgotten to tell you about. This video will help you understand.
By sharing this video, we can help avoid cellular depletion of Zinc, which can lead to multiple health problems, and symptoms like worsening ability to taste/smell food, poor appetite, and skin numbness/tingling. Better to know and make sure you're getting enough.

About 2 months ago the doctor prescribed me lisinopril and my diet was awful. Then I had a hospital scare with my chest but the nurses took xray and ekg and cct scan and saw everything was fine with my lungs and heart but my blood pressure was through the roof. They told me to take lisinopril right away. Then i started keto and started taking lisinopril but The side effects were awful: tightness in chest , difficulty breathing, and unbearable nausea with dizziness and constant tiredness and horrible cough . i prayed to Jesus and asked him to help me to get off lisinopril because it felt like i was being poisined. Sure enough going on third day of being off it, i feel better and no trouble breathing and my blood pressure is better and i havent even stopped eating salt. Just keto and taking walks and im already down about 25 lbs in the first month. Glory to Jesus Christ, i never wanna go back on that poisin again.

I wound up one night in the er with angioedema. This is 1 side effect of Lisinopril. My airwave almost closed. After 2 nebulizer treatments I was breathing a lot better. The Dr said I almost died and told me to throw away my Lisinopril..I did. That was last November. My blood pressure is perfect. I've changed my diet, started exercising more and I feel energetic. God bless you!

LISINOPRIL has been no problem. My friend who I met when I was 10 years old. “ married his sister 38 years later” . He didn’t like how his meds made him feel. He threw them in a drawer …18 months later he suffered a heart attach in his sleep . You need to find something that works whatever it takes.

My hubby was on Lisinopril for about 4 years, after a heart attack brought on by dehydration and over-working while cutting down and loading a tree in a neighbor's yard. The doctor kept trying to say that he would be on heart meds for the rest of his life (WRONG), and that the tests were normal and nothing to worry about (WRONG AGAIN). I read up on Lisinopril and its side effects. Toxic liver damage, mineral depletion, joint pain etc etc. I immediately got milk thistle, Co-Q 10, hawthorn, & zinc to add to hubby's morning vitamins. Also, hubby was an outlier and had a reaction that the doctor had never heard of - Deep & Profound Sleep, with inability to be woken as well as cyclical breathing. That is his breathing would be deep and strong on the first breath, shallower and softer with each progressive breath, until he would miss a breath, only to do a deep inhale on the next breath. We cut the lowest dose of Lisinopril into 1/4's and he still had this breathing problem. I discovered that his love of fresh ground black pepper was linked to his strange reactions. Seems in Ayurvedic & Oriental medicines, pepper id a multiplier and increases potency of meds & supplements. Hubby has been off off all prescribed meds for over 8 years, never had a C-Pap machine , and is doing great.

Thanks for sharing it's very good to know :) Black pepper makes tiny holes in the intestine and so anything you ingest with it will go straight into the bloodstream without being filtered, so it's pretty dangerous because if there are bacteria they go through too. Now luckily the pepper is so toxic it also tends to kill the bacteria but still, also it kills all bacteria meaning the beneficial gut bacteria that's the base of your immune system gets killed too. So if you love black pepper have it once in a while but don't use it daily it's pretty unhealthy.

I took Lisinipril for perhaps 4 or 5 years. One day I woke up and my mouth felt peculiar, like I slept face down on my pillow and my lips swelled up. Over the course of the day the swelling got worse and I put ice on my face. After I got home from work my lips felt like they were contracting making it harder to open my mouth. I went to the walk in clinic where I had been 10 days earlier for an allergic reaction to a bug bite. The doctor I saw was the same one I had seen 10 days earlier. She saw the swelling of my lips as soon as she entered the room even with my full beard. She went to call in a prescription for steroids and an antihistamine for an anaphalactic reaction and when she came back to the room told me to stop taking the Lisinipril because it is common to react like that after taking it for several years. Funny thing is I was taking it to protect my kidneys but my blood pressure was higher while taking the Lisinipril than it is without it. I also carry an Epi pen now since I had 4 reactions to different things in 6 weeks time.

@@petbo13 sorry to hear that bc it’s an alarming reaction that happened to my ex twice. I understand the 1st time; the nurses asked as soon we got in the ER if he took Lisinipril for his high blood pressure & he said yes. When he came back to my house a few months later with the same symptoms, it was hard to believe his doctor hadn’t changed his medication. He & I help each other bc we are disabled differently, so I had called & assured his clinic got the ER results immediately after his first reaction, then helped him to find a new primary care provider after the second ER visit. Hopefully neither of you will ever injest whatever ingredient caused the reactions again. He has had allergies since, too, which he never had. I’m the one who always had to keep Benadryl Dye Free handy. Sorry again because I understand. GBU both going forward. ~

Believe it or not, Lisinopril will damage the kidneys instead of protecting them. It lowers GFR. Lisinopril is snake venom synthesized from the Brazilian Pit Viper's venom. Decades ago scientists noticed the snake killed its prey by lowering the blood pressure after injecting it with venom. It also causes psychosis, confusion, hallucinations, etc. No telling how many people are currently locked up in insane asylums right now with a misdiagnosis of Schizophrenia, when it's really Lisinopril. I heard about a woman who was psychotic for 7 years and being treated with handfuls of psychiatric meds for Schizophrenia. After a family member read online that Lisinopril can cause psychosis, the woman was taken off the drug, and her psychosis went away 2 days later. To ensure it was the Lisinopril causing her problem, they put her back on it briefly and the psychosis returned. The drug literature says these side effects only occur in 0.1%, but the drug companies are the ones doing the safety studies. They know the FDA won't approve a drug if the bad side effects are common, so they'll rig the studies showing that the side effects are uncommon and almost non existent.

Speaking of mineral deficiency, if you have high blood pressure and chronically low potassium (especially if you eat a potassium rich diet and/or potassium supplements and still have low potassium), have yourself checked for primary aldosteronism. It’s a hormonal imbalance usually caused by a benign tumor in an adrenal gland that overproduces the hormone. It can be diagnosed with a (nonstandard) blood test, and confirmed with a CT scan. It can then be treated with medication (shifting your BP meds to spironolactone), or surgery (removing the faulty adrenal gland). I went through this myself. Once diagnosed, changing my meds dropped my BP by 20 points, and got my potassium into the low end of “normal” range for the first time in 15 years. 11 months later, I had the surgery. Now my BP and potassium levels are totally normal, and I cannot adequately describe how much better I feel. I told my surgeon I felt he’d added ten years to my life, and he said “Probably, at least”. He thinks aldosteronism is the cause of 5-10% of all severe hypertension, and that’s the mainstream view among surgeons who treat it. That means this condition, which is easy to diagnose and easy to treat (even cure!), that hardly anyone has ever heard of, may kill as many people as common cancers, traffic accidents, or suicide.

I was taking a beta blocker for my high blood pressure. I was on Tartinate and the doctor switched me to Succinate which brought my weight loss to a complete stand still. This year I got him to get me off of Metroprolol but he put me on a low dose of ace inhibiter. So you will have to really do your research, but I finally found articles in PubMed that were written about the increase of Insulin in beta blockers which will prevent weight loss. The Ace inhibitor is only better for me as I no longer get so dizzy that I fall over when my blood pressure goes too low. Still working on getting off the medication but I am losing weight again.

Thanks for the insight. I notice on your wall a photograph showing Bath's Roman Baths, with Bath Cathedral beyond.... I am viewing this and other vids from Bath, aware that not even the Romans would bathe in the now-toxic waters of Aqua Sulis city.

Do NOT be afraid to tell your Dr you want to change your meds. Mone got made at me when i asked to switch from Lisinopril to Losartan...BP was better after the change and no Lisinopril side effects. No coughing, hair loss stopped. Had been on Lisinopril for YEARS...glad i made her switch me.

I took Lisinipril for several years but had to quit when they briefly put me on Geodon. They reacted with each other and I became allergic to both. I am now on Losartan. I've been on them to protect my kidneys from my diabetic medications.

I just happened to find out I was low in zinc. I ordered Taste n' Score zinc, but as of late, I eat plenty of zinc-rich foods. I know I'm good because Taste n' Score zinc no longer tastes sweet.

So much news about taking zinc. Those who aren’t checking the side effects etc. So many took high doses and tanked their copper. Zinc copper combinations are balanced and readily available

I had been on lisinopril some years ago and developed unitary retention. After going off the med the issue improved. Could there be any relationship to depleted zinc levels and bladder issues. ? I do see urology and take meds for BPH.

My husband had been on Lisinopril and we had no idea of the things that could happen. He worked in extremely hot environment; 105 heat index and above. He was hydrating but apparently not enough. His blood pressure dropped extremely low. We went to urgent care. They hooked up an IV. He then started having seizure like symptoms and passed out. We then went by ambulance to the hospital. His kidneys were only functioning at 8%. This was an extremely upsetting incident. We now really look at the meds we take closely.

Friend of mine had the same issue with his kidneys because of Lisinopril. Drs took him off immediately and put him on amlopidine. This drug is supposed to be used ONLY for congestive heart failure. Do some research on it. Apparently has snake venom in it.
@captainamerica9028

It's no wonder Lisinopril causes all these problems, because it's snake venom from the Brazilian pit viper. Scientists noticed years ago that the snake killed its prey by the venom lowering the blood pressure until the heart stopped. They synthesized the venom in the lab and figured the dosage that a person could take to lower BP without killing them.

Please check with your doctor. You should only be on 1 ACE inhibitor medication but this is often used in combination with other classes of BP medications.

I agree. My mothers doctors gave her this and she got very worn down. Mainstream doctors gave too many patients and this is what happens. I have not taken prescription meds because they are trouble. I will not take prescription meds because they contributed to the death of both my mother and father. I no longer trust doctors who are quick to write scripts instead of getting to the root of the cause, which is always, diet and cortisol stress levels. Today times require Functional doctors. And, we don't need doctors that "forget" and put us in jeopardy because of their forgetfulness or because they are in a hurry to get to another patient.
