It's sad these days that we get more information from KZbin than from actual doctors. Yesterday I had an appointment with a naturopathic doctor who couldn't tell me (without referencing) which foods were rich in Zinc. I wanted natural sources, but she kept pushing supplements. Suffice it to say, I paid the fee, bought nothing from her, then hit the internet... Thanks for the info Doc..I really appreciate it.

During my heart event last fall I started have severe pains on both sides of my throat each time I had a hiccup/belch event! I developed this belch that would not expel. It seemed like the pressure built up but something would stop it. I had to discover the cure all by myself. The doctors just wanted to order more and more test! I said;”No more test! One day after my OHS I was back in the hospital when these pain events started again. Late one night a nurse came in and said that my potassium was too low so she gave me two really large potassium pills! I had to chew them up to swallow them! A couple hours later I noticed that the pains were gone! The next afternoon the pains were back. I had been watching you videos for a long time and recall the one where you talked about low potassium’s effect on the soft mussels! I told the doctors but each of them just ignore me! So after I was released from the hospital I was still having the severe pains! I asked my wife to go buy some potassium pills and it worked! I take them every day now! The pains have not come back! I take hydrochlorothicide for my congestive heart which make me urinate a lot depleting my potassium among other things! With your help and that one night taking the potassium pills in the hospital I just reasoned it out! Thank You! The doctors in the hospital still ignore my suggestions that low potassium as the cause! I lost a lot of respect for them now!
@InvisibleCitizen4 жыл бұрын
As the doc explains, a blood check for potassium does not reveal low potassium in the mussels! It is symptoms that can reveal potassium deficiency in mussels. This is why I take potassium everyday. The pain is gone now! I guess you can not take too much since the extra is expelled in urin.

plant foods such as leafy greens and fruits have lots of vitamin C and are beneficial to eat for us, but for people who have very bad gut issues / leaky gut they can be a serious issue especially fruits. Once the gut is healed / you don't have gut issues vitamin C food should be included. Vitamin C supplements are always very good. Remember what sailors who were at risk of scurvy did and said, they would always try to have FRESH food of ANY kind, meat, fish, fruit all fresh foods contain vitamin C.

🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation: 00:00 *Zinc is essential for immune function and hormonal balance. Deficiency can be concerning, especially for certain groups like alcohol drinkers, pregnant women, vegans, athletes, and children.* 01:37 *Plant-based sources of zinc may contain phytates and oxalates, hindering zinc absorption. Animal foods like red meat, seafood, and poultry are superior sources of bioavailable zinc.* 02:46 *Zinc supplements are not always efficiently absorbed, with only 50-60% absorption rates. Daily zinc intake recommendations are 11mg for men and 8mg for women, increasing during pregnancy and breastfeeding.* 04:07 *Animal foods such as beef, lamb, pork, seafood, shellfish, and chicken are excellent sources of bioavailable zinc due to their minimal phytate and oxalate content.* 05:56 *Avocado is a notable plant source of zinc with minimal oxalates and phytates, making it a reasonable option for obtaining zinc in the diet.* Made with HARPA AI
