She's so naturally beautiful... its crazy. I imagine her and I in a cabin in the mountains in winter with snow all around and her playing and singing next to a dim fire. I love it.
@dgdanielgoldman10 жыл бұрын
she sounds way better live. Whoever produced her album got a little too heavy on making it sound clean and pure. They made it sound a little cold. She has a rawness that she's not afraid to show - to put it all out there. And, that's great.

+Daniel Goldman Hey Daniel, You nailed it. She and the band won me over after first hearing/watching them on Guitar Center Sessions. Upon digging through prior releases, her studio work (albums) oozed of over-production with too many layers to recreate live. Difficult to blame just one soul, someone had to sign off on the artistic quality of the end product. Their's is a magic you can't suspend through detailed direction. Each live performance is like a hand-crafted keepsake: Hate to sound sappy, much like a Tiffany or Faberge heirloom. Comparisons to other artists fail either party. She may share tonal qualities with Stevie Nicks, sans the modulation, while projecting the earthiness of Janis Joplin, just slightly restrained. Observe them performing original numbers, that band owns each creation--she in particular. One needn't stage a connection to something they organically created. Can't wait to experience one of their live performances. Like Lissie, this was from the heart (of Illinois).

+WoodyBoyd I'm ok with layers and tracking (liking led zep as much as i do id be a hypocrite otherwise), but the albums just had so much...crap... going on. They sounded good, but not her. Her new album has a lot less production. Alas, something seems... missing... I think it lacks a little musical interest and energy maybe. Bought it regardless, but i dont know i'll get a lot of plays out of it unfortunately.

I'm tired of saying That I won't get lost ever again Who knows? Maybe I will And everywhere I go there I'll be With a rusty old rake in a pile of leaves Oh my Truly daunting But my blue eyes cannot see That their real hue is probably green I should keep records of these things And I know what yesterdays bring And I'm not really sure But I'm starting to think that I've been here before Who knows? Maybe I have And everywhere I went There I was with a choir of bees They were all a buzz Oh my, how amusing But my blue eyes cannot see That their real hue is probably green I should keep records of these things And I know what yesterdays bring One time--there was this one time When I swore God, she spoke to me And she told me, oh yes, she told me Of all the wonders that she could bring And I said Won't you, won't you fill me up with it? Why don't you fill me up with it? Won't you fill me? Won't you, won't you fill me up with it? Why don't you fill me up with it? Why don't you fill me? Won't you, won't you fill me up with it? Why don't you fill me up with it? Why don't you fill me up? But my blue eyes cannot see That their real hue is probably green I will keep records of these things And I'll know what yesterdays bring I am always there with me And I'll know what yesterdays bring Source: LyricFind

Lissie, you are a natural, I am looking at everything that you have on the tube today, I just found you on the Tube today, I love it all, I dig the dress, and the Bare Feet, The Bare Feet reminds me of Ronnie VanZant of Lynyrd Skynyrd, he did Not wear shoes while performing live, Ronnie always said that he wanted to Feel The Stage Burning, My Best to you, Cousin Figel
