It could be cultural. Dunno about Iceland, but in Japan for example, sloppy playing is basically just not considered acceptable. Like any other job, one is expected to be on top and accurate ;) If you wanna see bands that play live reliably, check out Japanese music. Any genre, it's the same deal...

This band will go far. I am in a metal band (rhythm guitarist,) andd I stumbled upon these guys at Coachella, and they immediately captivated me. I have watched numerous acoustic versions, and for a band to sound as good out in the middle of nowhere in Iceland as they do on a fully dressed sound stage is amazing. That speaks volumes about their pure talent. I have loaded everyone of their songs in my mp3 player and cannot stop listening to them. They now have a huge fan here.
