I have a questions for you. In comparison section, can I used although or even though at the position of though, whereas??????. I am preparing for IELTS so that it would be helpful for me, so your videos helps me magnificently. Thank you.

Hi, Aryan. Great question! You may group the five conjunctions in the Comparison/Concession column this way: 1. **Contrast**: Although, though, even though Example: "Although it was raining, they went for a walk." (Less casual) “Even though it was raining, they went for a walk.“ (More formal) “Though it was raining, they went for a walk.“ (More casual) 2. **Comparison**: Whereas, while Example: "She prefers tea, whereas he likes coffee." (More formal) “She prefers tea, while he likes coffee.“ (More casual)

Only though, although, and even though can be used in place of one another. They cannot substitute while and whereas. On the other hand, while and whereas are used in place of each other. They can be used interchangeably, but they cannot substitute though, although, and even though. We hope this helped answer your question. Please feel free to ask questions for further clarifications :)

Here are my own sentences! This morning, my Dad and I went to pick up the load in Arizona. As soon as we arrived, the load had been delivered. We were on our way to drop the vehicle off after driving on the road for hours. Even though, I got very confused. My Dad was filming me when I overslept in our truck work. He showed me the footage on his phone. He got me because it was funny for my reaction.

Absolutely productive session. However, I wanted to ask a question regarding the punctuation of subordinating Conjunctions used in comparison and contrast. Subordinating Conjunctions, for example, though, although or even though, are followed by a comma when a dependent clause is used before an independent clause. According to the rule of thumb, if a dependent clause comes after an independent clause, placing a comma is unnecessary. Therefore, I wanted to ask why subordinating conjunctions are preceded by a comma even though the dependent clause is after an independent clause. Please enlighten me about this scenario as I am really confused. Thanks.
