I use an additive called crd enhancer. Bought my 200 series from vic rural fire brigade and it’d obviously been filled up in the field from dirty dusty jerry cans or got some bad fuel. I started using that stuff before a trip across the country and it just got quieter, Better economy and more linear power delivery the more tanks I put through it on the trip. Now it runs twice as good at 98,000ks than when I got it at 56,000ks. People can call additives snakes blood but I reckon they’re an essential part of keeping common rail diesels happy. High in detergent and increases fuel lubricity which is a side effect of modern low carbon diesel. Worth a shot for a bloke like this in my opinion.

Had the exact same noise on my 2007 Prado a few weeks ago. New Injectors solved the problem.

My 2014 110 klms also has the cold start rattles not as bad . Are injector fluid cleaners worth using or are they a waste off money . Keep the vids coming 👍

l have taught you well,maybe that cheap diesel his putting in may have something to do with the rattling. Older cars like my rig i can get away with it.
