I think it was East Idaho news who did interview with the real estate agent who went to the apartment. He didn't realize till later that he had been in the apartment and even took pictures of a box JJ was making into a playhouse. He said the apartment felt very dark, very evil feeling before he even knew what had happened there.

I’m all for it and common sense says they’re guilty and disgusting. I’m just wondering f the jury is hearing anything saying any specific person literally mirdered each person. All we can do is guess. Common sense says send em to prison or worse. But legally won’t the jury be told beyond any doubt that Lori literally murdered so and so ( Charles it kid or other spouses ). We all know she’s guilty and wrong but I assume the defense is gonna point out that not one of us even knows who killed any of em. I’m not a lawyer and don’t follow true crime channels etc so maybe I’m way off. But that’s what scares me is the people accusing Lori don’t even know nor have proof that Lori did it. One could easily guess that Alex did it and he’s dead. Defense can say we all speculate Alex did it and Lori wouldn’t have wanted it. Again she’s guilty but I how they prove it and seems tuff. Where’s the gunshot residue on her or Alex. I haven’t heard of even a test. Chads wife dies “natural”- no one believes that but that’s the evidence. I don’t know how Alex died but I remember they didn’t say it was foul play , obviously wrong. Everyone knows the kids were distunguly mirdered but none widened as to who. Etc wtc

She is charged with conspiracy to commit the murders, hense why the AZ killing of Charles is relevant. No one is saying she was holding the gun, match, or shovel, but that she conspired & convinced Alex to do their dirty work, with Chad's & others help. You don't need the smoking gun in hand, & all this circumstantial evidence is actually much weightier evidence for conviction than eye witness testimony! The evidence of premeditation is definitely there with her moving & setting up money's, accts, & signing up JJ & Tylee for SS funds. Shortly before she made sure they weren't around to receive the benefits. She manipulated others to cover for her & Chad, etc etc. We didn't have the gun in Alex Murdaugh's hand, but there was sufficient circumstantial evidence to prove he was the only one guilty & holding the gun! In this case it's clear for instance that Alex Cox may have held the gun in killing Charles, but Lori actually pulled the trigger with her manipulating, conspiring & inciting the act! Just as the driver of the get away car in a bank robbery is still guilty of committing robbery of said bank, even though he didn't hold the gun or step into the bank! Hope that explains it.

@@donotrobme9295 If you read the charges, you will see Lori didn't have to actually do the deed or have participated in it to be found guilty, hence the word "conspiring." Remember Charles Manson did not actually murder anyone but was responsible for others doing it. Though this is a different state, it is the same principle. Among other charges are abuse of a corpse. The only way they could disclaim involvement would be to prove the children died by accident and buried themselves - they are so delusional they might think someone would believe that since it is just as sane as her being an exalted being or any sort of god. I am hoping in the end that Chad realizes she will not be any more loyal to him than to previous husbands or her children and decide to make a deal. As for him, he is going to have a tough time proving no involvement in Tammy's "homicidal asphyxiation" and more so since he moved her body before any authorities arrived leaving no way to determine if there was a struggle. The movement of her body implies guilt.

How bizarre, what is with the State in their major delays in turning over disclosure to the Defense? Between multiple fiascos with that, and for failing to go to trial in a timely manner as is our Constitutional Right, any Convictions here will have to be overturned on Appeal. Because Constitutional Rights have been violated, this current Trial basically just a waste of time at the Taxpayers expense. Prosecution really needs to get their act together by the time Chad goes to Trial.

@@CatholicHousewife2017 Sorry I just meant the print out of a specific witness' testimony for that day, that had already previously been disclosed 🙂 And idk, does it really seem like it's taken That long to get to trial? I mean I know Lori was arrested three years ago (not for murder) but she was also deemed incompetent to stand trial for almost a year after she was charged with murder. I think she was deemed competent in April last year, and the trial was set for January then I believe. I guess that just doesn't seem like a terribly long time to me, considering how incredibly complex this case is, and mixed in with the fact that she lost a lawyer, there was a change in venue, a motion to severe, and several other things going on in court that I don't think the prosecutors necessarily had control over.

Supposedly, according to Idaho Law, even without the 2 separate periods of times Lori was deemed incompetent, the Prosecution still took exceeded the specific time frame given for the Constitutional Right to a Speedy Trial.??? We'll see.

Just in looking up speedy trial violations briefly, (as I don't pretend to be knowledgeable on the subject) my understanding is that they look at several factors like the length of the delay, the reasons for it, the defendant's assertion to speedy review and prejudice. I would imagine both sides have plenty to argue about this 😄 Do you know if this is something her attorneys have already talked about publicly?

Police cam interview of Lori: all police want to know is, "Where is JJ?" And what they get is a litany of irrelevant family drama. Lori did state that JJ was with her friend, Melanie. She should have shut up after that. Lori's problem: She talks too much, causing police to be suspicious. None of these crimes were well thought out. How Lori thought no one would inquire as to the whereabouts of her children, is baffling. It's not like there is a missing family dog, police are attempting to locate. Lori, Chad and Alex, right up there with the dumbest criminals.

What I find strange in all this is that considering how much she talked publicly about her views, how much Charles tried to prevent everything and now we see the evidence he had In support of his claims yet the police took his story unbelievable without even trying to look into it. As he gained more interested listeners (don't like to use the word followers), and as his book sales increased, he enjoyed the attention and prestige. She might have been at one time, who can really know? A dear friend had a mother who was an absolute monster. After the mother had a stroke, she was the sweetest person in the world. Perhaps it can go the other way as well. In Lori's case, it appears money is what matters. It all started with Joe's life insurance. When that was gone or nearly gone, she cleaned out Charles' business account. When that was gone, well Joe died and she got insurance money so she can when Charles dies. She didn't get that money so then Tammy had to go to get the money to supplement the nearly $6K a month she got from the children's S.S. payments. Lori was not happy with the lavish life style she had with Charles - she wanted more. It all comes back to "Follow the money." She likely thought Chad was well off since he had a publishing company and sold his own books - yet his wife works and supported the family! You can bet if they had not been found out by now, that Chad would have a big policy on him and he would mysteriously die as well. Who in their right mind marries a woman with four husbands and two of them died suddenly? Chad had it made with a good wife, grown children, and all those followers, but he wanted more. Well, I guess he got more - right now he has free room and board, maybe for the rest of his life. Frankly, I wonder about the sanity of someone who has to have an empty room full of mirrors to dance in (without being an instructor!) and has it in every place she lives. That is a bit odd. She is more than a little absorbed in herself.

Hi Nate, thank goodness we have you to summarise the daily witness testimonies! Bizarre is definitely the word for it, as we see you shake your head in disbelief. There are several notable court cases currently taking place featuring major narcissistic defendants. As you said, their lives depend upon continually lying. (Also applies to M Markle though not a defendant - yet!) I would imagine that when they reach this level of grandiosity, they are already far too deep into their plan and hell bent on attaining it. In Lori's case - to be a goddess, to continue never having to do a day's work. One other matter from today's report really strikes me. There are so many more horrors only now being revealed, but I found it particularly upsetting to hear how cruel she was to Tylee and JJ. We had heard much earlier that she callously sold JJ's support dog, bad enough already. Now it's being revealed how she manipulated not only her cult followers but also the education officials in her quest to get rid of her children. Had to be done immediately in order for her to receive the life insurance payout. Again, as regards Tylee and JJ, it strikes me that her treatment of them latterly amounts to abuse. Moving them around the country during their formative years, taking them away from close family members. Especially cruel for JJ with his special needs. And heartbreaking for Tylee, who was bright enough to be aware of what her mother was actually doing. Horror upon horror. And yet Lori simply smiled and laughed....

Why is LDS Church silent considering that around 40 people at least are known to be facilitators of Chad, enabling him to behave like a God, discussing his ideas on various podcasts before meeting Lori, reading his books and so on. What will be done in this community to ensure lessons are learned and mistakes identified as this is not an isolated case and there are number of serious problems across different affiliations, those who kill their families and commit suicide, sister wives and the abuse of children and women, displacement of young men, sexual abuse, kidnappings of minors and the list goes on. Just the failures of the law enforcement agencies who’s negligent and incompetent behaviours hugely impacted on this case as if they took seriously Charles’s pleadings, bothered actually to investigate his claims properly Lori wouldn’t have slipped through the system and avoided the psychiatric assessment. Not to mention that they let Alex go free despite obvious inconsistencies in their stories and the evidence. This is much bigger than these two individuals and what I’m hearing from these court proceedings is that no one’s still looking at the bigger picture nor are involved being held accountable. We all hide monsters within just some better then the others. Media have painted Meghan as this horrible person yet she was a hard working woman who made her own decent living and I met her when she put effort to help my community following a huge fire in which nearly 80 people died. Her support helped raise money and she dived in and cooked for the community with regular people. Rare are those who are willing to pull someone for talking nonsense as their feelings may be hurt as that seems to be more important these days than the actual truth and accountability. If more people were willing to stand for what’s right we may have some hope left. Thank you

Earlier I read one where a person is saying how she wished Lori decides to testify and although she knows that that’s unlikely it’s such a shame as it would’ve been so entertaining! I was simply flabbergasted! Other keep attaching different levels of evil, claiming to know who’s thinking what and why, writing speculations on how kids must’ve felt and stuff that’s beyond healthy comprehension. Lori and Chad, both of them were super involved in LDS activities, regularly attended church, took part in a number of events whether they were involved in organising or executing different activities in their wards or simply attending the regular service and they shared their vies with other members…. I don't think it's for the want of trying, I am sure they had excuses or rather explanations that were accepted at first and then as time went on those explanations didn't make sense any longer so it probably kind of evolved from there. They may have gone, or called the police and were told to do this, do that, well look at what happened with Charles he did call the Police and look what happened to him, he was murdered. So you see, he did call the Police...then Lori turned all that around to her advantage... The problem you have to have some reason for suspecting something, it's not always easy to call the Police and make a complaint or a wellness check instantly, it's a matter timing and if they are moving around like she was then things get all confused as to which Police station to call. I mean she, as in Lori was all over the place..at one time leaving for 58 days without any contact with Tylee or JJ or Charles for that matter, this is when she was chasing what's his name, Chad....I wouldn't lay the blame on the Police, I think family is probably the first point of contact and they were killing them off. Crazy stuff, I'm actually surprised Alex didn't shoot those Police officers when they came calling several times.

What I would like to know is following: Is there going to be a proper extensive investigation into the failures of the Law Enforcement Agencies that failed to properly investigate Charles’s complaints and concerns for his life? Why Brandon was not taken seriously sooner? Why is not public that Lori had mental health issues for a long time and her family was aware of that. She is working through it & can still function! We had the Judge in the Murdaugh trial that had just lost his son during that process, & it was managed fine! It simply means giving the human being a touch of grace in the process! Some people process & function best by getting back to work. Also the circumstances of her Dad's death is significant to a degree. If it was known prior then it often aids the whole process.
