The official shouldn't have pulled that crew member so hard that he fell over/got his feet stuck to the traction compound and fell over. To be fair, that crew member should have known better than to open a door to a drag car that was already staged and ready to go.

Ever been to a NHRA National Event? When the Pro / Nitro classes are running, they fill up. When they're not running, everyone is down in Nitro Alley watching their favorite teams tear engines down and rebuild. Perhaps they'll even get to see an engine run-up. On Sunday during Pro / Nitro class eliminations, the stands are packed full.

That's just how it is with every drag racing series. Everybody shows up for the Nitro and Top Fuel stuff, but nobody gives a fuck about the smaller day to day classes.

As others noted, only die hard fans watch the Sportsman stuff. There was a great crowd Saturday.

@@garyjackson3531 It’s quite sad honestly, you can get some pretty good races elsewhere in the sportsman series but nobody cares enough to give them a shot.

@NolanRempel I agree. I enjoy watching the Sportsman races. Of course I go on Friday so I can wander around and see what I want to see. On Sunday I'm planted in the stands. But I understand the casual fans who want to see the nitro teams spinning wrenches between rounds.
