More vinyl gives more dynamic range and reduces crosstalk on the sidewall of the groove. Watch a video on how they cut the master disk and you will see.

They recorded the album live with Parsons as engineer and co-producer, that's why it sounds as good as it does!

This is a brilliant album. This track has a "Yes" feel to it but from the album "Drama" only in parts. Steven Wilson' solo albums are exceptional. I not long watch this track done live ... At the Royal Albert Hall. ... No I wasn't there [ I wish ! ] I got the dvd / 2 cd's > "Home Invasion" and this was the finale' track. Amazing concert !! Great video ...still listening. Thankyou ! Jim [ Great name eh ? ]

...and to think that Jim once said that Nick Beggs' best work was on 'Too Shy'. (Might have made that up) This, for me, is comfortably Steven Wilson at his peak.

I remember Marco minnemen tried out to be dream theaters next drummer when Portnoy left the band. I believe he was their second choice (they have the tryouts available to watch on KZbin). Thankfully he didn’t get the gig and we got raven and HCE with him drumming

Just the opening track is part Jethro Tull, part Anekdoten, part King Crimson (both 70s moog/melatron and 80s base Crimson), part Nektar, then part Stevie Wonder (the jazzy riffing) then part Caravan, part Gentle Giant....then into some amazing Floyd chill intro........still got the rest of the album to go Steve!🥸🤯 Yeah this album has stayed in my top ever for a few years now. Beautuful.❤

Steven Wilson was remixing a bunch of King Crimson albums during the whole creation process of TRWRTS. It really shows. Especially on Luminol. This is a top 10 album of the century so far.

If I could take only 10 records, at least 2 of them would be S.W. related. This one isn't one of them but I'm enjoying it anew here and now! The more I listen to his solo albums the more I think I let them pass me by too quickly at the time

Am I the only one who thinks the record kicks off sounding like Roderick's Testicles (when they were still a band)? Those guitar chords sound like something off Strangeitude to me, before it goes all Jazz-prog and King Crimson (which I also like!). I wonder if there's such a thing as Steve Wilson chord or chord progression? I could get halfway through an S.W. instrumental not knowing who it is, but then there's a chord shift or key change or...something, that klicks the Steve Wilson button in my head. I can never quite figure out what it is!

Don't want to rain on this 'Steven Wilson Fan Club Parade' but not my 'cuppa-char' one bit. Stick with Gentle Giant, Nektar, Gnidrolog, Druid, Khan and Galaxy-Lin for some real prog sounds instead of this over-studio drenched pretentious festival. 😊Enjoy if you enjoy though, just my opinion music fans....😉

Admit it, Yes you do, or you wouldn’t bother commenting- someone has to fill the minority slot! As for the comment about ‘studio drenched’ I can assure you it sounds just as rich and polished LIVE because the musicians are THAT good.
