My cousin and her husband had triplet boys and one of them passed away in his sleep when they were infants. This song was played at his funeral and my cousin and her husband both cried and had their hands up praising Him through their storm.

This song had just come out in 2006 just after my twn sister's cancer was diagnosed. This song got her through a lot of chemo treatments, healing from surgery and waiting on test results. When she passed away in 2010, I remembered how this song helped her and we played it at her memorial service. Now, it helps me to remember to praise God, even when the storm is raging.

This song was actually written about one of my old Sunday School teachers. Her family had several meet and greets with the band and they got to know them personally. Her daughter had cancer during all this and then later passed away. My teacher said CC would regularly call or text her saying that the family was in their prayers. After the daughter suddenly passed Casting Crowns wrote the song for my teacher. It is still one of the most powerful worship songs out there. If your in a “storm”. The best thing you could ever do is praise Him. He is so good even when times are rough. ✝️

I love this song! I listened to it earlier while at work. I absolutely love Casting Crowns. I saw them twice in middle school back in 2003 and 2005. They were incredibly popular in Georgia when I lived there. The lead singer is a youth pastor of church near Atlanta.

Saw them in concert a few years ago. They are amazing. They were just in my town a few nights ago doing a “drive in” concert. They set up outside. People drive up and roll down their windows and they do the concert while everyone is social distanced and in their own vehicles. It’s pretty cool. I didn’t get to go but they’ve been doing them all over the last month or two.
