As I heard it, the story behind the song was Zach wrote it, decided it would be a good duet, and jokingly told his team to try to get Ms Dolly- never expecting that he could. SOMEbody got it to her and she loved it of course and immediately said she would love to be part of the duet.

I actually got to see Zach in concert during his tour to promote the album that this song was on. During the concert he told the audience the story behind how ended up doing the duet with Dolly. It's actually a pretty funny story. But apparently he jokingly said he wanted to do the duet with Dolly thinking it would never happen, well someone must have took him seriously and actually sent her the song. He told the audience that she said she had no idea who he was but she loved the song so she said yes.😂
