Thank you for sharing with us your listening room. I always enjoy seeing other people's equipment. It also gives me ideas for my room too. I like that style light over your turntable. I'm going to try to find one like it for mine. Your equipment looks very high end and very cool. Great turntable too. 👍 I just subscribed to your channel and I look forward to seeing more videos. Cheers

Good to see you going another video, Virgil. I enjoyed this one and learned a few things. I don't know a lot about external DACs, so I looked up the Dragonfly. Cool to see the CCR and Christmas albums too! Cheers my friend Frank

Thanks Frank! Really miss your vids but I know you’ll be back soon. You have a music room remake and new flooring coming in. I don’t know how you manage so many projects. Be well Frank 👍

They're not ideal luxman m117, for driving 4 Ohm's speakers has an awful damping factor of about 130, does it feel woolly, it will up rate your damping factor from the amp by using a couple of resistors in parallel to the speakers. I would try two 12 ohm in parallel 10 watt each resistor per speaker, connected to the + terminal could try two 8 x two Ohm's resistors, what would make the amp see it more like an 8 ohm speaker, 12 ohms resistors, would be better for it or even going to two 22 Ohm's give you a stronger harder bass tighter lower mid-range. Try the two 12 ohms first per speaker cabinet

John sweda - Hey John. Thanks for taking time to respond! I had a damping factor of 100 using my Luxman M2000 so I made a small improvement. The minimum speaker load impedance is 4-ohms for the M117. www.hifiengine.com/manual_library/luxman/m-117.shtml I invested in a pair of 6 ft. Blue Jeans Cable Ten White Speaker Cable (Belden 10 AWG) with Welded Locking Bananas. I also use all Blue Jeans LC-1 interconnects too. The base and mids are pretty good. My brother-in-law has the same set of speakers in black. His ears are way better than mine as he likes the sound from my system. He’s a cable and tube swapper with his system. I’ll do some more research on your suggestions 👍
