KANAMI, the lead guitarist of BAND-MAID, is one of only two guitarists in Japan officially certified by PRS. She also has a PRS Special Private Stock guitar. For KANAMI, PRS is officially backing up. Leave a comment Okay! If you were actually paying attention and not BS'ing over the music about Lolita culture, you would have heard the Bass punching through from the very start. For the record they're all about 31 at this point with the Lead Singer being about 30. No Loitas anywhere in site and only 1 member still adhering to the Maid Astethtic after 10 years, who as it happens isn't prominently featured in this Live Video. Guys do you seriously not know the difference between a Live Recording with minimal post production touch up and Studio Production set to a Video Recording? @@billb.5183 Well, I subscribe to those who do a shout-out to Roger Chance... But the real criterion must be, of course, whether I enjoy the reactor or not. In most cases these two criteria synchronize. I sometimes give a loan of trust to the reactor, so to speak. When I feel potential, but it's not clear from the first reaction whether the channel is interesting or not. I have subscribed to a lot of reactors in recent years, now I'm actually thinking I should clean the list a little bit. But it would take some extra work, and I simply don't have time for that. When I click now on a KZbin recommendation, and then see that I'm subscribed to the channel, but I get bored or annoyed by it now, I sometimes unsubscribe. But that does not happen often, actually. Only when I'm really upset by what the reactor is doing. In my defence, I should say that I watched this reaction from a phone 😁 They were listening through a laptop, and I listened to a BAND-MAID reaction through the phone speakers, what could be more shameful 🤦♂

I'm normally the bad guy amongst the commentors, the one who pans the reactors regularly because of some faux pas or sometimes even some minor mistake. Many people of the Maidiac community find me rude and highly abrasive because there is this general belief that we should all promote Band-Maid as much as we can to whoever we can. (I can't say I agree with this idea at all). Today, I do not have to be the bad guy. There are obviously quite a few who feel they still need to promote how great Band-Maid is in the comments. There are a lot more that might begin to understand why I do not think doing reactions are for everyone. I would rather have some qualified people listen carefully to the song and that dish out fair comments (that may even be unfavourable) than listen to a bunch of highly unqualified people, with no respect for the music, dishing out comments on everything but the music. I do not know how relevant these ODcast fellows are to the music scene, but they sure are not doing their credentials any favours in this video. They do not even bother to use headphones to maintain the integrity of the sound. They are not even paying attention to the music in the beginning. Heck, they already have the presumption that the band members are miming and acting to the track without watching closely first! To be fair, they are at least honest that they can barely hear how incredible the music could have been because they are using their laptop speakers. At least they attempted to verify their presumption and realise that Kanami and MISA were not faking it (though that took a bit of convincing). At least they admitted that they had not been paying attention. To the two reactors of the ODCast reacts, I will say this - I think you can do this band justice by sitting down, listening carefully, taking notes of what there is to like and dislike, and then communicating it on another video. You can even redo this song "Hate?", it's fine. Please use headphones or a proper sound system this time. Remember to head into this with the mindset that you want to understand the music, not just shoot your mouth off with thoughtless comments. Feel free to rewind and relisten if needed. I have this unusual feeling that if you wanted to do all these things, you could make a fairly decent or even good reaction video. You might also want to start that video with an apology regarding this current video. While I urge you to do yourselves proper justice, I admit I do not hold a lot of hope that you would take this advice. If the latter is the case, then best of luck to you folks and may you find a hobby/job that is more suited to you guys in your future.

ODcast, ok you have been flamed heavily by the fans here universally. I could add on but instead will give you some hints for success. I have found loads of bands through reactions and some like (Band Maid, Babymetal, Nemophila, Hanabie, Jinjer and Crypta I check everyday for new reactions, I have been doing this going on 8 years. Take the whopping’ you’re getting here to learn. 1. Get headphones, 2. Don’t have continual conversations about non music stuff over the video 3. Don’t disrespect the bands by assuming they cannot play or sing, fans will come after you for that. 4. Stuff like is this Lolita is offensive and will get you flamed. Even a band like Babymetal started off as young teens wearing gothic Lolita outfits. It was NEVER sold as sexual. The Gothic Lolita dress was a cosplay in Japanese fashion. Assuming your Western thought dictates the rest of the world is either ignorance or offensive. You had some decent things to say but you so f’d up the stuff above people had already shut you out. Lastily there is nothing wrong by not liking stuff, but remember others do so make valid reasons why you don’t, ie I don’t like harsh vocals or wow that was a little heavy for my taste. I will give you another chance but repeat the mistakes and your channel is doomed.

Guys, you have just discovered one of the best hard rock band in the new rock era. Band-Maid defies any genre definition because they will use any "genre sound" in their music (often several in one song). They have a discography of over 130 songs, not one of them bad and many are amazing. While it may not be a goal of yours to gain a lot of subscribers, if you keep reacting to Band-Maid songs, especially from their official KZbin channel, you will get many more subscribers. If you look at their official KZbin channel you will discover that Band-Maid has had over 200 million hits views of their videos. That says something about their prolific musical appeal to their audience. Sure, their cute outfits might draw attention at first, but Band-Maid's "gimmick" is the Gap, which means you see the cute outfits but you will get serious hard rock "melt your face" but melodic music.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Band-Maid. First, I think one of you said it, you should use earphones, the better the quality, the better. You would have heard the bass is strong throughout most of the song. A little laptop speaker is not going to cut it if you intend to do music reactions, you will be missing out on some wonderful things going on, where the low quality computer speakers unfortunately will not cut it. I would suggest, you don't have to do it as a reaction, but a relisten to "Hate?", with two things. A decent set of headphones and watch the lyrics on this one, as it's quite fun. I often say you don't have to understand what is being said to love the music, but for this particular one, the lyrics are quite fun. Band-Maid is a band who has world class musicians but no egos...they all do what is best to serve the song...and the best thing to serve the song is to allow all members to shine. When they play live, they are playing live. They do use backing tracks, but as a filler, like the keyboards you heard in "From Now On". All the backing tracks are done by Kanami, the lead guitarist. In regards to the Maid Battle Armor (what they call their maid outfits), they have evolved over time. They started out wearing the same or very similar outfits, but now their armor are more aligned to their personalities. If you really like the music and you dive in to learn more about the band, you will understand the reason for Maid theme. They are a 5 piece band: Miku - Second lead vocal, backing vocal, rhythm guitar, main lyricist and band founder Kanami - Lead guitar and main composer. She's playing the PRS and just started play a custom PRS Private Stock guitar. Akane - drums MISA - bass Saiki - Lead singer

Guys, they’ve been around over 10 years. They are well known as top tier rock band. They wear an entertaining stage outfit, so what. So did Alice Cooper, AC/DC, Kiss, and really every band. Every band has an image. The Maids serve up killer music. That’s it. Let any talk of a “gimmick” go, it’s nonsense; especially when the band is this good. Wig that out of the way, I’ll give you a standard comment… Welcome to the world of Band-Maid!!!😀 Congratulations on finding the band many of us Masters & Princesses believe is the best on planet earth 🌍 today!! 🔥 Welcome to the Pigeon the Hole that is Band-Maid!! 🕊😂 In fact, your life has just taken a step in an incredibly positive direction by finding Band-Maid! 😀 They are a remarkable collection of five incredible musicians and performers that know few genre limitations and always put a smile on the faces of their audience when performing a “Service”. They have 100+ fantastic songs and should be playing stadiums all over the world, imho. Any one song, as great as it may be, like “Hate?”, are but the tip of the tip of the tip of a distant gleaming iceberg of excellence! There are a lot of us Masters & Princesses who grew up with bands The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Santana, YES, RUSH, AC/DC, Metallica, Guns N Roses, The Who, U2, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, (& others) who have become Maidiacs because we find many of the same qualities in Band-Maid’s music we found in such giants of the Classic Rock era. As have many younger people from the grunge, alternative, independent and pop-punk eras. Band-Maid members have influences across the music spectrum including Alternative, Classic Rock, Post-Grunge, Metal, Punk, Punk-Pop, Pop, even classical musical training, and the influences of many great Japanese rock bands and pop acts. Yet, Band-Maid succeeds in creating a genre all of their OWN!! Stay with the journey and I’m sure you’ll agree. You’ll stop comparing them to anyone else as you’ll see no comparisons are useful. The Maids are the trailblazers not following in any particular footprints but all over the rock spectrum. They have great MV’s, both studio and live, on their official channel. For next typical recommendation, as others will say, is to see more of them LIVE playing some older songs next: Check out: - “Don’t You Tell Me” - OLV - “Domination”- official live video (2018) - “Freedom” - OLV - Drum Solo!! 😃 Then, there are official live videos from their January 9, 2023 concert - “No God” - official live video - “Puzzle” - official live video Then watch: - “Real Existence” - official live video (2014) - “Freedom”- official live video (2016) - “Onset” - official live video (2017), instrumental magic - “Play” - official live video (2018) Then I recommend you jump several years forward to some newer songs to see how they’ve developed since then. They’ve grown in every aspect over their years. This band does not stand still!!! They just released an anime closer: - “Shambles” - official MV They released the new “Unleash” EP in September 2022 and have three recent MVs, including - “Influencer” - official MV - “Unleash!!!!!” - official MV - “From Now On- official MV, more instrumental magic! I think you’ll like them and be blown away by their evolving talents in composition, arrangement, instrumentation, orchestration, playing, performance and all around joy 🤩 Then dozens more songs - everything is good and many are great! Try - “Dice” - official MV - “Choose Me” - official MV - “After Life” - official MV - “Manners” - official MV - “Manners / Black Hole” - official live video - “Sayonkadori” - official acoustic live video - sublimely beautiful - “Puzzle” Acoustic - official live - “Daydreaming” - official MV - “Warning” - official MV - “Rinne” - official MV - “The Dragon Cries” - official MV (all English lyrics & vocals) Two songs are Anime Theme songs - talk about high ENERGY! - “Sense” - official MV - “Different” - official MV And the essential song to understand the beginning lore of the band, - “THRILL- official MV - went viral, saved the band from being dropped, and started them on their path to world domination!! (As you saw) ✅ And it’s happening…they just completed their 2023 US Tour by stealing the show at Lallapalooza! See the - “Dice / Hate?” - YT video Hopefully, they come back somewhere near you in the not too distant future and you’ll have a blast if you go see them! And then there’s their arch enemies “Band-Maiko” 😂 You should watch: - “Secret Maiko Lips” - “Gion-Cho” Band-Maid Members (Simple Version) - [ ] Miku (me-coo), 31 - Rhythm Guitar, Second Vocals, Founder, Pigeon, Primary Lyricist, Red Flower 🌺 Chief Spokesperson, PO!! - [ ] Misa (me-sah), 30 - Bass (5-string), Barefoot Assassin, pick/slap/pop/pluck - does she have any limits? - [ ] Akane (ah-kah-nay), 32 - Drums, Gorilla - [ ] Kanami (Kah-nam-e), 31 - Lead Guitar, Princess, Primary Music Composer, “Mincho”! - [ ] Saiki (Psyche), 28 - Primary Vocalist, The Ice Queen, Quality Control, secondary lyricist, Blue flower 💎 Miku, Saiki, Akane, Misa & Kanami may become your favorite musicians on the planet…🤷🏻♂️🎼🎸🌍 Take care and enjoy the journey!!! 🤘🏼🎼🎸🔥🍺😀✌🏼

The "Live Energy" comes from Red Bull and Monster..... the drummer is their real drummer. She is just a "plant" to mimic the original AI drummer..... The singer is in "Autotune"..... WW2 - well we all know that was fake. right? ..... One gets an imperfect sound of a song if one is continuously talking over it.... Their "Live" MV's suck because one can see how bad as musicians they really are..... It is better to react to their MV's where all their flaws can be fixed in FL Studio or any other DAW program.... Whammy pedal- that's cute..... Wow, you almost had me deleting this post because you took the 2nd song , From Now On, more seriously - until you mentioned a nurse outfit..... actually, go back in the MV and you´ll see that there actually 3 nurses in that video..... you just have to look extra hard.

Well if it's any consolation, most of the negative commenters seemed to have watched maybe a minute at most before popping off. But tbf, while you did notice and appreciate things later, there was a very superficial and unserious vibe at first. I'd give the reaction a 5 out of ten, and the fan - or should I say Stan - comments so far a 1/10 because if you're really a fan, you educate and nudge rather than having a snit fit because you didn't get everything you wanted. If the members of Band-Maid were like the negative commenters here, the group would have imploded out of selfishness after a month. The fanbase is 98% encouraging and open- minded, I think you guys maybe got off on the wrong foot tone-wise with some bandwagon- jumpers who aren't actually paying attention in the same way that they are (partially correctly) accusing you of doing.

"Your thoughts?" I dunno, you talked all the way through so I couldn't hear the song. Free advice, take it for what you paid for it: It's a reaction video. When you have a thought that's more than a quick comment, pause and tell us. We want to know. If you don't pause, a) it's hard to HEAR your reaction comments because they're competing with music we already love, and b) you missed half the song talking over it. Put another way, that means you STOLE away from us the ability to see you react to each section of the video. There's craft involved in making these reaction videos watchable. Pause (spacebar if you're on a keyboard) to talk. Every time you pause, back up 5s (tap left arrow) so you have a second to get back into it when you resume. Every reaction-to-music video you do, most (almost all, honestly) of the people who view that video are there because they love that band/song, and they HOPE to live vicariously through you. They want to symbiotically relive that high of discovering something that's their jam. That's the bargain you're striking. In return for eyeballs on your video, viewers expect your full attention on the thing they adore. If you can't give that, don't waste our time. Faking is obvious, so always just be yourselves. Good luck with your channel!

A lot of hate in the comments but i just saw two people with an honest first reaction. Yeah, some ignorance but that's just what comes from not being exposed to the Japanese rock scene yet. I'm glad that they appreciated band's musicianship.

They almost made an honest effort during "From Now On' but they weren't coming back from all of those face palm inducing comments they made throughout the video. I had a red palm print on my forehead by the end. 🤣

What does this have to do with honesty? Malicious jerks full of prejudices and ignorance can be honest... just for being honest should we congratulate them or avoid pointing out their behavior, just so they can get away with it? Not on my watch.😉
