The segment beginning around four minutes into the song (the eye dilates, the air gyrates etc.) is just immaculate. Also the bit in the music video where the dragon RKO's the fucking international space station straight out of the orbit is great

Thank you for reacting! This was amazing, the entire album is. Not everything is as heavy/fast paced as this but it really good. Just wait until you listen to the end of flamethrower, it’s a teaser for album two of the year, album 25 in their catalogue!

I also smile while listening to this album, it's sooo much fun and it puts me in a good mood, haha. I got into King Gizzard through Dj Shadow of all things, even though I listened to them before. And now my favorite albums are Infest the Rats nest and this one - there is something almost cathartic in listening to lyrics about the end of the world on epic tunes that change in surprising ways for me.

I haven't liked everything I've heard from them ( I've probably only heard 20% of their output) but the good stuff is undoubtedly great. This belongs in that category and I just wish I had the time and money to explore them further. Polygondwanaland is my favourite though.

Love King Gizzard but for me, Mr Bungle is as experimental and unpredictable as it gets, while still wildly entertaining and were doing their thing over 3 decades ago.

Good evening Jim, I’m curious. Until now I liked them a bit but not enough to buy albums. No, not for me, can’t stand the growling and ‘singing’. Musically……mmmmm…..no not really. I get very tired listening to this. It’s too aggressive, noisy for me.

I dont know what you are into, but they do make a whole bunch of different genres! They made a fully acoustic album "Paper Mache Dream Ballon" or Western "Eyes like the Sky".

@@LoneNightquill I heard several albums by them and it was quite good. This song is of a different level. I’m highly sensitive and I can’t listen to growling and several other distorted noises. Theu really make me feel uncomfortable. So this song is not for me because of the growling but I don’t like the music is too much for me too.
