But now that I‘ve gone to university and have to share my living space with many other people, I realized that having freedom from the loud world is actually a good thing. We only think and perceive that we exist, therefore being lonely or feeling that people are all supporting you are both not real. So therefore just enjoy shit. Had a rough last couple of weeks. I broke up with my girlfriend that I had been dating for 2 years, spent Christmas alone, my entire family went out of state to be with family while I stayed home to deal with the emotional turmoil inside my head. I’ve made horrible decisions that I wish I never have. I immediately went to alcohol and loved it. For New Years I decided to do everything I could, I drank, smoked, did other drugs I don’t want to name. I thought I was going to die and I think that’s what I wanted at that very moment... but being here now and just thinking about everything, I’m so happy to be alive. I don’t know why I’m commenting this on here, but it feels nice to finally put my troubles out into the open. Not looking for attention, just trying to come to terms with my choices and my life.

2019 was the year which i realised i was growing up. lots of pain and happiness, lots of good and bad luck. i used to hang around with zero emotion, just like a dead body. i wouldn't respond to any act or take anything seriously. 2019 was the year which i found my soul, my other half and boy is he gorgeous.. he opened my eyes, he found my buried emotions, he helped me out and i started feeling alive. in billions of people i was lucky to find my only one. but.. there were many obstacles between us - like my damn family and shit. it caused lots of pain not gonna lie. to him and to me. i hear you saying, 'eugh that ain't pain the things you've been thru aint nothn you're just a teenager' well you're damn right I'm a teenager but it's not okay to think that everyone has the same durability. you can't compare people's pain and feelings cause not everyone can handle the same shit. i wish everyone for a good year. cya.

This is the decade I started to grow up in. By no means is the job finished; that will happen in the 20s. But it's undeniable that I am more like an adult now then I was in 2009, and I have no idea if that's a good thing or a bad thing. So many awesome things happened in this decade; it proved that people as a whole can do some really wonderful things together with just a little bit of effort. So many great things happened to me, and I will have memories to cherish for the rest of my life. But a lot of bad things happened as well. People have a lot of love in them, but a lot of hate too. And oftentimes, the hate seemed stronger. While I am by no means throwing a pity party right now, this decade had some rough, painful years for my family and I. The question is, how to process all of this? Because we are the ones who decide how the 2010s will be remembered. We are also the ones who decide whether the 2020s will be amazing, or even worse. If you're still reading this, thank you for putting up with my late night ramblings. If anyone else is feeling torn apart right now, I send you my best New Year's wishes. Please, do your best to make this decade worth it. You deserve it. 2020 is in 20 minutes where I live. For Auld Lang Syne...

was supposed to be spending NYE with my long distance gf. i planned a big (surprise) roadtrip for us. she was gonna fly in to see me, and i was gonna drive her along the coast for a few days. i had hotels, airbnbs, theme park tickets. she broke up with me a couple days before the trip, so now i'm spending NYE home with my mom. grateful to have my mom to spend it with. but truly sad things didn't work out with my gf. thought we had a future together. the roadtrip i planned was fye too. life is so unexpected man. damn. she blocked me on all socials, and told me not to contact her anymore. 130 if you're out there, i think you overreacted. i think we still had a lot of potential. such a waste to throw it all away like this. i miss you and love you like crazy. on top of all this, my close friends are now living pretty far from me or moved onto a new stage of life where their priorities shift to their partners or families. so they're not really there for me in the same way as before. and on top of that i've had a lot of inner struggles and turmoil with what i want to do with my life (i quit my job lol)... i hope 2024 brings more clarity and purpose for me. 🥺

It's midnight on New Years. My town has banned fireworks for safety reasons, but that doesn't stop people from setting them off. It's a strange sort of feeling, peering out the window at midnight, hearing the pops and crackles of illegal fireworks mingling with the lofi, occasionally catching the odd flash of color and light. I just got called into work around 5PM, I'll be working from now up until 7AM, way past new years, alone on nightshift. I was supposed to be with family tonight, one of the only nights in the year I expect to see all of them, but I guess not. Last year, I spent it with the love of my life, and let's just say this year hasnt been sweet, and it's new years again and I'm still thinking about her. I dont even get to be with my cat tonight, he would give me some comfort rn. But thank you for making this. This music and the comments make me feel not so alone. To a new year, let's hope it's good

I remember as a kid I used to go to heaps of parties with my parents and family friends but now we don't do anything and all I want to do is be in the company of other people because I spend so much of my life alone, always studying so I can lead the life I've always wanted to live. Loneliness is the worst, I always feel so isolated, my parents don't help that because I'm only 17 so I can't go and do whatever I want to do. I can't wait till I move out.

@@TheOnlySypher That's ok, I totally understand that, but it's hard right now, my dad threatened to kick me out today, I know he wasn't serious, but it really hurt to see how far we've drifted apart. He put a lot of pressure on my academics last term to the point where I hated myself because I couldn't do well, I got the results he wanted me to get and he congratulated me once and told me to do better next year. I know he wants me to do well, but i can't ever see him the same after the emotional pain he put me through for months making me feel like crap. Whenever I speak my mind he shuts me down, I just don't know how to feel about it because I want our relationship to go back to how it was, but I just don't trust him anymore.

I've been away on vacation with my family for the past week and a half and luckily we where able to sort some of our problems and miscommunications out a little bit. I told him how I felt and that I needed some space and we negotiated how this was going to work out and luckily it did!!!
