Jaime Villa I’ve been alone for a very long time, I’ve gotten use to it, until recently. Being around people, accepted, praised, it’s like a drug. Once you’ve gotten a taste you want more and more of it. I haven’t been alone a lot since, I love being with my friends, talking to them. We all support each other in our friend-groups. A welcoming and sincere feeling like that, to come across each day, I don’t know how I could ever go back to being alone out of my own free will.

I got a job at a chain coffee shop a month ago. I graduated with a poor grade at my degree this summer, which I wasn’t that interested in. The current job is always intense and depressing/miserable at times. My time at university was mostly miserable as well - I worked, studied, got drunk all alone. I had company at times, but most of the time I didn’t. Despite this, life is good. I may be lost in life right now, but I still have my one friend who understands me, even if he’s not here with me. My family is here, my parents and siblings. Sometimes it’s easier to forget that you’re never truly alone than to remember the people that make life worth living. Stay strong all 👌

I used to work at dominos, and after every late night shift, where I’m feeling angry and mad at the world, and all it’s endless drunks and dangerous drivers, this was my decompression time. I used lofi to shift me out of that mood, and it worked wonders. Unfortunately, I now suffer from PTSD. I had a terrible accident about a year ago, involving a drunk driver hitting my car, then assaulting me when I was disabled. I was left with a TBI (traumatic brain injury) to the left side of my head, and a concussion. For those of you who knows how that feels, you know, but for those who don’t I’ll give you a quick imagination exercise. Imagine, it’s summer, and you’re swimming in a lake. You’re having a good time with friends, laughing, enjoying yourself. You turn to take a quick dive, and when you come up, you can’t find your friends. You start to get worried, but assure yourself everything’s fine. The shore starts looking further and further away. You start swimming, and it only gets further. Your heart starts beating fast, as you try to keep your mind calm, but you already felt that familiar release of adrenaline, and you get into fight or flight mode. Something starts dragging you into the water, you’re screaming, but no one is there to hear. You feel your lungs fill with water, and then see blackness. It’s been a while (exactly a year on March 12, 2010) and the reminders and flashbacks have gotten stronger. Lofi puts me in a magical place, a floaty place, a place that felt so familiar before. I tend to try to hold on to the positive thoughts, as theyes quick and are often replaced with self sabotaging thoughts. But, after all that, it has made a more compassionate, understanding man, who will love anyone he can. Cherish yourself and your loved ones, you never know what can change you forever ❤️

it's good to indulge in sadness sometimes, it's not human to be happy all the time, I used to put a mask on and pretend until I got through the sadness, but now I know to be open and honest if I'm feeling the sad coming on, I tell my close ones that things aren't 'fine', and I am freeing myself of the pretend happiness I used to be so good at acting out, so I can then process and move through the storm and come out the other side to a better brighter day, until the next storm comes through. Take time for yourself, look after yourself, if I didn't have 'my time' then I wouldn't be able to take care of anyone else. Much love guys 💕
