Are you interviewing Mehdi or arguing with him? He makes a very valid point - Palestine is an occupied country, not a neighbour. Isreal created Hamas - absolutely. Take the point and stop arguing. Or maybe you don't need to interview anyone at all and just spend the time raving on. Mehdi makes great points, you are rude and overbearing. Join maga.
@claydogg2348 сағат бұрын
Israel didn't create Hamas. They funded a non violent Gaza charity which later morphed into Hamas and once that happened they withdrew all associations with the charity and arrested Hamas members. No Palestine is disputed territory without clear borders and united governance and institutions. It can become a country by accepting a deal with Israel something Palestinians have refused time and time again. Interviewers can be tough. Mehdi has argued plenty of times as an interviewer. Relax on the moral high ground nonsense.
@micumatrix8 сағат бұрын
I understand what you mean, but the interviewer is not a maga guy. You see how relaxed Mahdi is and he can make all his points uninterrupted. They have respect for each other. Mehdi is OK with it. Trust Mehdi ;)

@topoftherock3628 Leaders in the tech world know Musk is a racist charlatan (as Mehdi alludes). Musk founded NEARLY NONE of the companies he runs (Tesla, Space X, Twitter/X). He stole each company from the true founders (he took them to court, forced them to spend millions to defend baseless lawsuits, and in the end they had to negotiate with Musk and in the legal settlements had to agree to let him call himself the "founder" even though he never did). Delve into the truth. Musk is a despicable person who steals (money, ideas, ownership). He has little technical knowledge. He hires people who he bullies and threatens to fire & treat them like slaves. His immense failures with Twitter shows he has no management ability. It's his only company that doesn't get free government bailout (ALL of his other companies got & relied entirely on billions from the U.S. govt, so it wasn't Musk but the U.S. government's funding that made those companies succeed). We can give him credit for fooling the U.S. government. This is why Musk recently joined MAGA & trump, just to get more free money rewarded to him from the trump government. He's also a thin-skinned narcissist. Mehdi was spot on in this interview. He talked of Israel, Palestinians, and Musk with facts.

Medhi, I almost always enjoyed your show and was sad and shocked when it was canceled. Your passion is admirable. You could talk a little slower as I think your message would be heard more. I agree with much of what you say but I don't agree with a lot as well. Israel's PM should be in jail like Trump. I have do not trust most if not all of what Humas says and Israel is not that great either. But my argument here will stem around one thing. The Jihad indoctrination starts at birth, and is part of the Gaza education system. There can be no peace when new generations want to wipe out Israel. The Arab people in Israel have never wanted Jewish people in the land. The Arab people wanted an Arab state after the fall of the Ottoman empire. So did Israel. Arab nations of Syria are Jordan were created. Eventually a Jewish state was created. I am for a two state solution but it will not succeed because the Palestinians don't accept Israel being there. They never have. I have heard Palestinians deny that the Jewish people ever lived there. There is only one Jewish state and I believe that the state has a right to exist and to protect itself from being destroyed.

Hamas wanted to provoke Israel to display what it has done previously, on a smaller scale to other provocations; which would be THEIR way of saying they are just as bad or worse…possibly??

None of us could pass a consistency test if you took comments from our teens, twenties, thirties… so this kind of gotcha attempt ought to be rejected, and context which is mostly ignored has to be highlighted.

Mehdi in his entire carrier was standing for truth and never once was hijack by the nonsensical Shai Sunni split. He chose to represent Islam as a whole and all Muslim with out undermining his obligations towards his country whether in the UK or US. Truly an honorable example of a Muslim an honorable example of journalism Respect Mehdi 🥋

Well done interviewer, that was very skilfully done. Mehdi is showing his blatant weakness, he doesn’t see anything wrong in what Hamas is doing. He doesn’t see what Islam is doing wrong. It needs its scholars to bring Islam and the Quran into modern life. Either that or keep fighting until no one is left.

Agreed. The interviewer was excellent. Not shouting the interviewee down and letting Mehdi speak while making it clear he disagreed. Very skillful

let’s stay fair: the wahabistic saudi islam or the iranian model are very influential and in the news, but they don’t represent the way all moslems live. Just take Indonesia, Malaysia, Turkmenistan, Kazachstan, Turkey, Aseirbajan, Bahrein (some african cultures) etc. Yes, they may not the model in democracy, but it’s possible to live a normal life without sharia, or so.

As Mehdi's atheistic antagonist Christopher Hitchens would say - "My heart pumps blood - that's all." On Radio NZ today I heard the news reader assert there would be an "exchange of hostages." When did Israel announce to their enemies that they were taking non-combatant hostages? There is no equivalence.
@Adam-c4d4s8 сағат бұрын
It's documented that Israel takes civilian hostages by the hundreds. And Hitchens famously, was against the idea of an Israel - based on a book of fiction as he put it.
