This Nigeria trip was not a success as many journalists have claimed it to be. It shows a bit of double standard from the journalist towards the Wales vs the Sussexes. The Wales were harshly criticised for their Caribbean tour for a small protest by the locals despite getting rapturous reception by larger numbers of locals while the Sussexes were promoted as a success when majority of the locals were voicing their displeasure at this trip for the fact that Nigerian Government was spending astronomical amount on hosting Harry and Meghan while majority of the citizens are in hunger from poverty. The Wales were criticised for greeting the locals through the wire fence which Raheem Sterling did exactly the same gesture as the Wales greeting the locals as well but the Sussexes were not criticised by the media for Meghan to wear backless, braless dress to the school and wearing revealing clothes in a country in which most women dresses conservatively in keeping with their culture and religion.

The Walses trip was highly successful, even though the PM is an anti-monachist and He put up fences..the Wales went over there and shook hands through the fences and spoke to people anyway..and they are Still a democracy with rights and votes, so the PM can't just scrap the royals, the people remain supporters of the Monarchy!! Whereas on H&Ms tour, the 'poor' people were held behind fences, did turn out to see H&M, called out and waved....but H&M IGNORED THEM!!! They were too busy chatting to the rich people, too busy grifting and dealing to worry about the real people of the country!!! And showed us all the Exact Differences between the ex-royals and the committed to the Monarch and serving their country royals!

The locals were voicing their displeasure of this trip which did nothing for the Nigerians while the Nigerian government spent large amount of money for hosting the duo while the citizens are trying to make ends meet. There was a Nigerian TV show in which the Nigerian ladies were criticising Meghan's conduct during her time in the royal family stating that Meghan needed to learn some manners before calling herself a Nigerian woman. Harry and Meghan accepted free flight from international fugitive and one of the Nigerian Kings marking Meghan a lady was a conman with criminal records. Now, the Nigerian first lady has criticised Meghan for the lack of decorum with her clothing choices of which Meghan surely deserved that criticism. There was nothing successful about this trip and the real royals have no reason to be jealous of this non entity pretend royal couple.

Harry and Meghan did a trip to Nigeria, Canada, and Columbia, and you didn't have to pay once. You have paid nothing for them in the last 4 years, yet charities in this country benefit from their kindness. When your grandmother is freezing this winter because the royal family got 45 million increase and your grandmother's winter fuel was cut and the bill is going up by 10% at the same time and you are happy with that. How much work as William done this year for that increase. It's not the total amount they receive that's over 100 million. If you want to hate on the Sussexes, go ahead. There is a difference between Harry and the rest of the non working minor royals. The other royals such as Eugenie, Beatrice and Zara don't use their royal titles for their own commercial gain. They have their own careers that they have income from. This garden party was them helping the Crown rather than them benefiting from the crown as they are doing this without pay. Whereas Harry wants to utilise his royal title to benefit himself and Meghan. He has built his brand in the US disparaging the royal family and pretending to be the royal representative. The modus operandi is totally different between Harry and the rest of the minor royals.

Nothing similar betweern Harry and Meghan, and the cousins. None of the cousins have betrayed the RF with Oprah style interviews, Netflix type documentaries, and nasty gossipy autobiographies. If H&M had stayed pleasant and respectful, and did not monetise things in such a public and degrading way, doing charitable work on behalf of the RF, not paid, would have been fine. Personally, I hope the cousins do do more charitable work for the RF, but no need to use a Sovereign Grant, as the RF have loads of money to fund this, including through the various duchies.

I think what reporters tend to forget is that Harry & Meghan’s half in/half out was specifically to make money in the commercial sector USING their Royal connections. Using everything that is Royal to make money. Beatrice & Eugenie have regular day jobs that aren’t about selling their royalness. Harry & Meghan had their website SussexRoyal to sell tea towels and all sorts of knickknacks with their Sussex connections. That’s completely different from working in an art gallery or an investment bank, etc.
