This war can't be won by tinkering around with increasing defense spending to 3.5% when in reality it should be 5% until this war is over and Russia is out of Ukraine. Then the defense spending could be reduced back down to 3.5% in order to create a viable deterrence to potential future Russian aggression. After all, this war is in Europe and is not a direct threat to America.
