I see a lot of Americans saying that this is a European problem, 9/11 wasn’t our problem but your allies helped you for 20 years in Afghanistan. I understand fully that we need to pay our way fairly on defence but when I hear that it feels a bit like a slap in the face

@@robtarring5188 Nations DO NOT have permanent alliances/allies. And the Ideological alignment; and economic interests of the US and Europe have been increasingly at odds for ~30 years. That is going to create tensions. But beyond this - the out of control national debts of about ALL western nations are to a point of creating massive issues. This all might seem "unimportant" or "not directly related" but that is exactly the reason so many economists, politicians, and more have absolutely failed to recognize what is going on: This is a complex issue, stemming from economic conditions set up in the 1970's, and 1980's that we could call "Soft economic marxism" - that is: Radical equality of people, at least - people from poor countries increasingly being allowed in flooding the labour market of the West at a time when manufacturing and other well paying jobs were being off shored crippling the earning power of the average citizen. The US is going through a re-orientation. And that has to do with 1. Dealing with the migrant problem; 2. On shoring industrial capabilities - manufacturing, metals processing, and so on. You know who is going to get squashed in all of this? The greens, and those championing hand outs to illegal immigrants. And Europe is going to go through this as well - and it's already started down that process, why? Because Europe has done the same as the US government since the 70's: GDP go up is good right? Well: What about GDP per Capita? This isn't just "pay your way" this is a "If we don't get things under control, there won't be any funds to do anything".

You could use it for a time to make gains against an enemy with a bunch of pistols, but at some point, if you can't bail out fast enough, the boat will sink. The big question is how long will that take? I think that's why most of the pundits predictions can only be seen as pure speculation at best.

@Airborne-805 сағат бұрын
Or force putlers only hand. Would you want that?
@grahamepinnell3675 сағат бұрын
There will not be a stalemate. Depending on the timing of a NATO (or even a European) deployment it could be a game-changer : Russia's economy is being hollowed out, it's society -even before the war on Ukraine- was already hollowed out; Russia's military is being hollowed out; Russia's geopolitical standing has been hollowed out; the Russian oligarchy is fractured. Russia has waged this war since 2014 and has achieved minimal gains (in terms of its own ambitions) for an enormous, if not fatal, cost. It has lost control of the Black Sea, of part of its own territory, forced to give up territory it had occupied (Kherson and Kharkiv), is under constant bombardment inside Russia itself and NATO has expanded in response to its actions. All this Ukraine has achieved. To our benefit. There will come a moment when all that will be needed is a small extra push, and Russia will be defeated. Dictatorships are brittle. They go slowly, and then suddenly.

😂😂😂Ukraine had EIGHT mobilisations, and asked for other 600000 conscripts 😅 Russia had just ONE mobilisation in 2022, and no plans for any new mobilisations 😁 That's it🤓 P. S. The bodies exchange was a couple of days ago. 512 Ukrainian fallen soldiers were exchanged for 52 Russians.😐

Putin doesn't dare try another mobilisation. Which is why he is now relying on mercenaries and starving, untrained North Koreans. ( He has run out of convicts already ).

Russia has never stopped mobilization Ivan, and had to turn to North Korea for troops.

😂😂The last time Russia had a mobilisation half the country left That's why Putin is using N Korean troops for his meat grinder.
