She had no problem being married to Bashir al-Assad while he was a dictator, but now decides that it will not be so fun living exiled in Russia as the wife of powerless man whose ability to provide her an over-the-top luxury lifestyle is more limited. Staying married to Assad probably doesn't make for having to accept his infidelities, living in a soulless and freezing country, or living under Vladimir Putin's thumb, while hoping he isn't deposed too. One would hope that no European country would allow her into their country. Her best bet is somewhere in South America, which may have a more flexible attitude toward the ex-wife of a Middle Eastern despot, so long as she comes with enough hard currency and can offer a substantial enough bribe. Of course, many people have a way of conveniently falling out of windows in Russia, so she might not be so bold as to try and leave Assad.

The absence of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in Moscow, where he was expected for high-level talks, has sparked speculation and divorce rumors surrounding his relationship with Russia. Assad's ties to Russia have been critical throughout the Syrian Civil War, with Moscow providing military and political support that allowed him to retain power. His sudden disappearance from a key diplomatic visit raises questions about the state of his relationship with Russian leadership, particularly with President Vladimir Putin. While such speculation is rife, it’s important to consider that international diplomacy often involves behind-the-scenes negotiations and shifting priorities. Assad’s absence could indicate a shift in Russian priorities or internal Syrian matters rather than a break in relations. However, if confirmed, it could signal a potential turning point in Syria's alliances, possibly influencing its geopolitical future and its standing in the Middle East...
