Why did God save Trump and not the firefighter? 1) Maybe because it was the firefighter's time and not Trump 2) Maybe because Trump's death would have far more grave consequences for the nation and therefore millions of people than the death of another individual 3) God sees trillions of connections. He understands if I wake up five minutes later today I'll have a different kid than I would have otherwise. Our model of the world is so simplistic compared to that, so it would be hard to judge "why".
