"Trump has an incipient messiah complex. In a world leader, that's a really dangerous thing."
The bravery Trump showed after the attempt against his life is "impressive" but was driven by a "messiah complex", says the Times's Matthew Parris.

@@redberry2484 i'm an american in a relatively good area of country and it certainly was realtively 'safe' place to live in most ways, though it did depend on what race /ethnicity etc, for sure. But even re that, that seemed to worsen at times. Now, clearly we are in social crisis, with faulty perceived needs for guns, etc, when a self-defense gun is still usually more of liability in many ways than a useful tool: but that also depends on social situation, assets-level and earning power and how all that intersects with potential civil lawsuits against the person using the gun. Very tricky social situation that certainly WILL cause severe socioeconomic stratification like we've never seen before, IF shootings become more common. Anyway that's just a small birdseye micro view of one angle. We are in deep trouble and i call it paramilitarism, which should be widely shunned, rejected socially etc, and ultimately made illegal. Actual paramilitaries are illegal insofar as training, etc. But nowadays probably not prosecuted or investigated enough. And in fashy red areas, not prosecuted at all. Not easy to prosecute many such groups.

Being given a massive amount of money by his father ($400 million US, estimated ) enabled him to get the shadiest lawyers, accountants, enforcers and public relations mouthpieces. There have been hundreds of "hired hands" over the decades. By himself, without the unearned wealth, he wouldn't have made it to age 50. Perhaps he would have perished in prison much younger than that or been removed by someone with power whom he insulted. There is a will to dominate others by force and deception prominent in his personality. Money makes it all too easy for him and always has, for 78 years.

If you would read any religious text (not just the bible) you would understand. But since you won't, I will help you. God doesn't bless everyone equally (that's recent, post-enlightenment, feel-good baloney). God, in fact, has favorites. God has heroes. We now have Reform UK whose leader is firmly allied to Donald Trump; if we had PR they'd now have a large block of MPs and could be in government as part of a coalition. Secondly, he says he is reassured by the fact that nothing too bad happened in Donald Trump's first term. However when you look at authoritarian leaders around the world who come to power initially through the ballot box, it always takes time. As a rough rule they have to be democratically elected at least twice in order to figure out what they have to do to ensure they cannot be evicted by the people.

one thing that stands out about all that DT and his machine spew out is the poverty and vacuousness of the actual substance of his message combined with the profound liberties he takes with grounding his statements in truth. In that sense he is a mirror image of his wokist adversaries. Both parties home in on the very real problems that are afflicting us, then propose their own versions of purity codes as solutions without actually grappling with the challenges of real world problem solving. They feed off each other and muddy the waters for those amongst us who endeavor to engage in actual problem solving.

What is your excuse for cognitive impairment . The bleach comment was referring to a comment from a doctor saying to the press conference that bleach killed the corona virus on hard surfaces . Trump said maybe we could use something like that to disinfect the body . Different bleaches are already used in medicine to do exactly that , anti biotics also disinfect the body . As for the Putin comment , I assume you mean the pipeline , why would he need to blow up the pipeline when he has the tap to turn it off . Carry on lining up for the programming .

The Westminster system would have seen a spill, where a deranged leader would be removed by their own party. The US President is more like an executive monarch than a PM in a constitutional monarchy. “We the People…?” Not really. The US doesn’t have national referenda permitting the People to change their Constitution. The US founding fathers wanted a Union and not have the States going in different directions, which happened anyway, citing the US Civil War.

For people discussing American politics on a professional level, the panel does not seem to know too much about the basics of things like how the president can be got rid of or replaced as a candidate. This is pretty basic stuff - they should have checked it out beforehand if they don't know. It's been discussed in public for weeks/months or actually years in Trump's case, never mind it being a part of general academic knowledge for anybody discussing American history or politics.
