You could argue the same for "Operator Starsky". He isn't a reliable source, mostly reporting Ukraine successes and downplaying Ukrainian struggles and losses. I mean, that has a value, of course, it's just not the truth. And things aren't going according to plan for Ukraine. Not Plan A, not B and not C... The worst issue is that Ukraine can't find enough soldiers. Which says all sorts of things about what's going on in the Ukrainian civilian population right now. They don't believe they can win. Otherwise more people would be willing to risk their lives to protect their families or they would think they have a good chance of returning alive from the front lines. But as things are, they don't trust Ukraine to make it. They don't want to be tortured and killed by the Orcs. They know Ukraine has no defense at all against the glide bombs. They know Russians are using CS gas, while Ukraine has both hands tied behind their backs. They know that Russia will round up all the soldiers when the government either falls or surrenders. They know that the active soldiers aren't allowed to leave service even after their terms of enlistment end, they are hardly allowed to rest if not wounded. In the media, of course they only show wounded soldiers that want to return to the front lines as soon as possible. Apparently they have no soldiers that are traumatized or tired of it all? I would have liked Ukraine to win. Putin is the devil. But the Ukrainians seem to have lost their will to fight, for the most part, and there's plenty of disinformation from that side as well.

It seems unlikely that a proud US patriot like Trump would humiliate himself and the US by not abiding by the Budapest agreement which was a promise by the US and the UK to defend Ukraine against any threat if it gave up its nuclear arsenal. Ukraine did give it up, proving it had no ambitions towards invading any other country. US is therefore honour bound to stand by its word if it wants to remain to be regarded as an honourable nation. UK, has stood by its word, as well as not placing any restrictions on how Ukraine should defend itself. UK stands out among nations as the most honourable one. It would be a pity if any US president would cause the US to be seen as a nation whose word and written agreements cannot be trusted in the future, and relegate it to the same standard as Ruzzia.

Some very simple rules for identifying propaganda sites: i. How many followers do they have? The smaller the answer the more suspicious you should be; ii. Is the content aligned with the video title. If the video is a wildly off title, like “Ukraine surrenders”, and the content is something different, this is clickbait; iii. If the commentary is a computer generated voice, be suspicious; iv. If the commentary is overdubbed with dramatic music, be suspicious; v. If the comments are filled with pro-Russian messages, be suspicious; vi. If the channel is not followed by other content makers that you trust, be suspicious.

Whenever I hear Russian and equipment struggles I am kind of suspicious. They have suffered major losses but they have more tanks, which can be returned to service, than are even remotely close to having been destroyed. An old tank can still operate as a tank killer. I hope its true but tbh I dont think Russia intends to expand much further. They would like Odessa but they blew that. NATO is telegraphing cross the Dnipro and we will jump in. Now its time to decide does Ukraine have the troops to take that territory back

Interesting interview. This really is a matter of national security, not only for the UK, but for other democratic states. We in the UK have new bills and legislation, although from what I can see it mainly concerns how these forms of foreign interferences and disinformation propaganda may affect our voting systems; come election times. What we really need is to address legislation to protect our societies, ergo the way we, the general public, are affected in between our elections. It's all relevant. And that is because we do use our opinions and freedom of speech to guide government towards meeting public demand, to a certain extent. Basically, russia is coercing us covertly into willingly disregarding just how divided we become; widening the gap to lean towards what -if- is effectively russia-friendly... russia uses our very democracy against us... We make ourselves a weaker nation by making too many allowances for alternative opinions that truly are not in our own best interests. More legislation ought to be passed, that can then be set out in layman's terms, and televised on the most highly viewed channels, so that everyone knows in simple terms, how not to allow themselves to be covertly manipulated. Political abuse by another country's government, against ours, can manifest in more ways than the obvious. It's not repression if it is helping to prevent something that can easily harm us in the long run... Worse still, if we bring it on ourselves. If we are weakened, we put ourselves in harm's way. We're not just susceptible once every four years at election time! National TV channels in the UK never seem to raise this sort of beneficial public awareness... 🇬🇧🤝🇺🇦

When it comes to russian propaganda -- it's all lies. It's used to shape public opinion. Russia has bot farms that flood twitter, KZbin comment sections, and other online gatherings. They are anti-NATO, anti-EU, anti-America, and anti-Ukraine. Ukraine does not have bot farms where one person has several identities. Russians online create profiles that show they are Americans or Europeans to fool others. There was one who claimed to be a Democrat who is now supporting Trump because of Ukraine. Some the words he used during conversation made it suspicious he was a bot. Comrade is not common English term you use for your friends/neighbors. Just stuff like that.

What should 'raise eyebrows in Ukraine' is kids and families sending Tik Tok videos at resorts, beaches, nightclubs, holidays and restaurants. If Ukraine fully mobilised two years ago they would have 4+ million military personnel today.
@mwtrolle2 ай бұрын
It's not that easy! You need equipment for them or they will be little help, you need trainers or they will be useless cannon fodder as we see most of the newer russian soldiers are. They didn't have the ability to train that many new recruits, at least not at the same time as they needed to use their officers and veteran soldiers to fight the war! Had they mobilized 3,5-4 million more military personnel 2 years ago, they would have had to pay them salaries, it's possible that Western nations would have supported them economically to do so, but it would have taken money from other support that most likely are more important! Also, that would have resulted in fewer workers in the war industry, and also less tax money from the workforce!
@Wagner.WithShovels2 ай бұрын
Maybe in the United Federation of Fascists but in Ukraine kids don't join the army. Meanwhile Russians are making TikToks in Crimea *Correction was making TikToks in Crimea but Russia dropped a S300 on the beach and now Russians avoid that place.

Uhm, and they would magically also end up having the rifles, bullets, uniforms, artillery, etc etc, right? I'm also going to ignore that a 4 million strong army just popping up would create other military issues, such as an overcrowding on the battlefield. Here is a tip, if there is an issue that many many many smart ppl who actually have skin in the game have been thinking about for years, and you think you found the solution and your solution is about a simple as boiling potatoes, your idea is almost certainly either nonsensical, impractical or plain bad.
