Is pathetic an apt enough word to describe a Church which tolerates the presence of an Atheist pastor? A blatant contradiction in terms yet because they do not believe in God enough to enforce even such a minimum standard for their leaders they allow the the atheist to keep her position. Pathetic.

Truly pathetic, who would be attracted to such a church? They do not even have enough faith in what they allegedly believe to so much as reprimand an outright atheist 'pastor'.

Many would be attracted because expecting people to believe in a God in the sky is ridiculous. No wonder people leave the church.

Newsflash, the ACoC, like the UCC, is dying and by 2040 it’ll no longer be in existence. This is according to a study done by your denomination, and thankfully this is the outcome. The dominant Anglican body will be the diocese of the Anglican Network in Canada, which is a diocese of the GAFCON affiliated Anglican Church in North America.

Forget the God stuff and do as Jesus did - care for others, look for justice, contribute to peace making. Help people, share the load, create community.

Remember God is a human construct. Thank goodness someone is taking us beyond the childish belief about a person in the sky controlling everything - it's just nonsensical -my Christianity is about compassion, justice, wisdom. It's about being the hands and feet of Jesus and helping make the world a better place. Not believing that some being up there sent someone who he then had killed because we sinned - come on, what a terrible God that would be. And to get to a place called heaven you have to 'believe' - ridiculous. Heaven is about creating a better life for others here on earth doing all the good you can.

Remember God is a human construct - so you can put your own interpretation on it as people have done down the centuries and as the mainstream church has often done to suppress and control people.
