A long form video on the death of the British car industry would be really nice, given the recent “downfall” of Jaguar and most companies being sold to bigger foreign corporations. From the relative heights of British Leyland, years of neglect, arguably started by the Thatcher administration, has just led to the UK being a shadow of its former self. I hate the forced implementation of electric cars. I know it was already planned by the previous administration, but giving companies this short amount of time to convert has led to the death of legends and legendary engines (like the slow disappearance of the V8). We’re not even giving time for other potential power sources, like hydrogen or biofuel. So frustrating that governments don’t understand not just petrolheads, but the industry as a whole

I mean, EU has exempted low production volume supercars from the 2035 """"ban""""" on ICEs, maybe the UK will as well, but knowing how the UK government behaves, we all have our reasons to be worried.

Whats the car shown at 0:14? Is that basically a Lister GT1 car with a slightly different rear end/quarter panels?

That's the Lister Storm GTL 1999 version which won the 1999 British GT Championship it was the final GT1 Lister afterwhich Lister focused on the GT2 class.

They also made a pretty cool road version prototype, but the OG will forever be my favourite Storm
