The Big 12 Insiders is a streaming show hosted by former Kansas State football player Brien "Big B" Hanley. It covers everything related to and affecting the new 16-school Big 12 Conference. In today's edition, former Big 12 offensive lineman Brien Hanley is joined by 247 site publisher Tim Fitzgerald to offer the list of the games they see as "sneaky good" Big 12 conference football games in 2024.
The Big 12 Insiders airs Tuesday through Thursday during the summer at 1 p.m. (Central) on the GoPowercat KZbin channel and the new Big 12 Insiders channel.

Show idea as requested... I'd like to hear each of you build out the next round of B12 expansion with your practical dream scenarios w/ your reasoning included. Here's mine... the Big21, add the PAC2 in 2026 w/ that cash wad. If FSU/Clem is really possible... those 2 and coin flip between UConn or Louisville, if not...Louisville, Miami, Pitt. Then 3 divisions, 7 tms/ea, 3 division crossover games each, here's the kicker... everyone kicks off week 0; then 4 team conf playoff in wk15+Champ wk. Mo 💰Mo 💰Mo 💰 + Boost resumes for CFP. Content idea: BIG 12 TV ratings compared to SEC, B1G, & ACC per game

SEC, BIG and the ACC have their own network available free in most TV cable packages. As long as the Big XII uses a for-pay streaming service on ESPN+, it's hard to compare viewership. However, if you check Big XII games on network TV, regular ESPN and FOX, the ratings are competitive.

If the Big 12 wants respect, BYU has to beat the SMU’s Media argues for some and against others. Big 12 is in the latter. Media looking for any excuse of an argument to dismiss the Big 12 Tech needs to beat Wazzou for same reasons.

Need to have a top questions (besides injury because that is an unknown for everyone and preseason predictions are made assuming health) Top 3 or 4 questions for each team or maybe biggest changes for team preseason and the in season evaluation of how those questions are being answered. Already listed for top teams. K-State has new OC, QB and oline. KU OC, QB etc.

Big Games and their breakdowns, give us your pros' & the cons of the match ups... strengths and weakness of coaches games plans , time to adjust during the season to opponents game plans , players against one another and depth chart strengths .... timing of meeting one another who benefits from the timing , what teams are known to start slow so who starts slow and who starts fast ( like what teams are built to make fast comebacks and what teams need to stay away from large deficits ... Turnovers killing teams in such games. special teams break down on these games as well. Lets pick a game ... Can State Penn afford to get down to WVU by 3 TD's in the first half? How about West Virginia , can they come from behind against State Penn's defence pinning there ears back and coming after West Virginia's small QB ?

I think the first three conf games and first road games for Utah, K-State, ku and AZ can be considered sneaky good at this point. That is pretty much the consensus top tier with ok st. Utah’s QB needs to prove he is same after injury. K-State QB and new OC need to prove themselves. KU QB has injury question and has to mesh with new OC AZ has an entire new staff needing to prove themselves. Those four versus anyone in the middle is sneaky good on this date?

Keep your lists for in season comparisons. After noncon play, which conf games have moved up or down the list of good games. Maybe a sneaky game today starts looking like a top game then Half and 3/4 of season compare top QBs, O’s and D’s to what you have now.

Ohio produces talent at a high rate one of the best in traditional B1G country. Fickle got to the point where Cincinnati was getting a lot of second tier ranks 11-30. tOSU was getting their pick, but Cinci got their share after. Satterfield is not doing much in Ohio top 30, which can build you a strong B12 program. Interestingly, Ryan Day isn’t getting to just pick an Ohio players either.

Idea for an episode of the show. A lot of people are still having a hard time with the NIL money that some of these players are making. I am fine with them making some money but when you see these young men driving around in a new high-end sports car or buying jewelry that costs more than most of the people in the stands make in a year, you get a bad taste for it. But I know that there are some great stories out there. Can you tell us about that?
