Album Cover: either To Shoot Another Day by Rosalie Cunningham or Plunge by Sam Evian Overhyped: agree with both of your picks Biggest Surprise: Cheekface, not because I had any bad experience with them but I remember seeing other people in the Discord really dislike their previous album in 2022 (I never heard it) Biggest Disappointment: Beth Gibbons, I didn't hear what other people heard with that one sadly (although Dua Lipa is a good one, I couldn't even finish it) Senior Circuit: Agree with both Judas Priest and Crowded House Best Debut: probably Friko, not sure if RIP Dunes really counts since he had previous projects Best Comeback: I was really disappointed by the Chloe and the Next 20th Century so Mahashmashana was a very welcome comeback for me Against the Grain: Not sure what to put here either, the one I was going to pick (J Robbins - Basilisk) used to have a really low average on RYM but it has actually gone up EP: Apollo Ghosts - Amethyst

This year I didn't get to listen to that much music compared to last year, still got to 42 albums in the end. Album Cover: Chelsea Wolfe - She Reaches out to She Reaches out to She Overhyped: Charli XCX - BRAT Biggest Surprise: St Vincent - All Born Screaming Biggest Disappointment: Fontaines D.C. - Romance (Still a good album, but the singles are much better than the rest) Best Debut: Warm Exit - Ultraviolence Senior Circuit: The Cure - Songs of a Lost World Best Comeback: The Cure - Songs of a Lost World An album only I liked: Lime Garden - One More Thing (Got it at 4.5 stars, RYM score is 3.08)

Coldplays new album was SURPRISINGLY good tho the singles where terrible but there’s a lot of beautiful string arrangements on that album moon music, One World, Jupiter,rainbow, all my love, Aeterna all really great songs imo

My favorite album cover: The Reflectors - Going Out of Fashion (great stylization and font!) My best debut of the year: Tie = Mk.gee - Two Star & the Dream Police, Liana Flores - Flower of the Soul Most overhyped album: Geordie Greep - The New Sound (I can’t believe you guys liked this one so much, it’s awful. It’s noodly and incel-y and gross and grating and annoying. And that album cover is awful too! I hate his accent, I hate his voice, and I hate the lyrics. Just edgy for the sake of being edgy.), but that Cindy Lee album isn’t far behind. Biggest disappointment: The Cure - Songs of a Lost World (it’s just diminishing returns for me, and not some amazing expectation-crushing all-time comeback. Not even close.) Biggest surprise: Jessica Pratt - Here in the Pitch (I never heard her before and now I love her, and Better Hate is one of my favorite songs ever now!) Senior circuit: Redd Kross - Redd Kross (Gotta be them for me, and I agree: great album cover too!) Best comeback: Blank. Can’t really see any album in my top list as a true comeback, although they’re all great. Against the grain? I’ll pick a negative that I feel alone in not liking, two of them: Again, the Geordie Greep album and the new Cure album. 👎🏻👎🏻 EP of the year? Surprisingly, it’s: neverminds - nevermind, the winter. (Yeah, I didn’t even look at this one, and I really super enjoyed it!) Great awards video for 2024, boys! :3
