I was there but I didn’t see myself or anyone I recognize in this footage. For me, the best music was to be found in front of the Listowel Arms with Julia Clifford, Johnny O’Leary and Paddy Cronin holding forth. Shlides and polkas! Up Kerry!

I was in my late teen's then carefree with a back pack, God if we knew then what lay ahead with FF & FG and Labour policy and EU would do to this country and yet we have only our sheepish selves to blame.

Those were the days when most young musicians wore long lowing flowing shiny curly hair and played the very best music, Now you see fine young men with the most horrible haircuts, I am no barber but even I would fail to give shocking bad and rough haircuts, my own barber has hung up a sign outside his salon which stated We Do Not Cut Hair Any Longer

Short hair is easier to look after, dries faster and is less likely to snag

@@oscarosullivan4513 I’ve become progressively balder as the years have passed, though when COVID came along and the barber shops were closed I still needed to look semi-presentable to my patients and their families, so I got a set of electric clippers from Amazon. Now with a few passes of a #3 every couple weeks I’m spending less on barbering fees and shampoo, plus saving time in the morning with no combing necessary. I have fallen behind on the neighborhood gossip though!
