Repent and trust in Jesus. He's the only way to Heaven. We've all sinned and deserve Hell. Sins like lying, lusting, etc. Repent and trust only in Jesus, and you will be saved! You can be saved because he took the punishment for our sins on himself when he died on the cross, just like someone can pay your speeding fine in court, and you get off free. Romans 3:23 John 3:16😊❤

Audaciously bold, colorful, regal, and sublime! This is the raison d’etre of the Concert Grand Piano (instruments in music aren’t capitalized, but I feel emboldened to do so in this instance). And this is why ladies would faint when Franz Liszt entered a room. A splendid performance of this demanding piece.

the fainting... do you have a reference for that? I read tales that his playing had caused people to faint but never knew the source / verified.

This Early Operatic Fantasy (which was sadly cut by the publisher) has probably the most unique structure of his early virtuosi life and actually has the feeling of the opera. The introductory material is based highly on the sextet but in the diminished setting with the first 2 bars based of the start of the sextet and the other 2 bars being based on the middle section in 9/8. The second part of the fantasy (Marche et Cavatine) captures the essence of the dramatic scenes of the opera. Truly a marvellous work.

In Agreement with that. I might be bold to say, Without Liszt, kiss Rach 2nd & 3rd Concertos good bye. Because of Liszt , we wouldn’t have Gaspard de la nuit by Ravel and all great pieces by Debussy. Even in 2024, his music is complex. All his Etudes, Transcendental etudes, Paganini etudes etc are still worthy and extremely difficult to learn. Liszt was TRULY handpicked by God Himself

Utterly wonderful! It is so different than another Lammermoor fantasy that I also very much like, the Grande Fantasie by Parish-Alvars (kzbin.info/www/bejne/rZ6uc6CuYpJ-hs0). There must be something inspiring about an insane woman in a Scottish castle set to the glorious music of Donizetti.

Not my favorite performance. I was playing it for a friend (who is a musician) that was unfamiliar with the piece, and he thought it wasn’t very good music. I found it hard to disagree, but not because of the piece itself, but because of the performance. The playing was very heavy and choppy, and the beautiful soaring melodies just felt flat.

I couldn't agree more! The pianist obviously never listened to the sextetand knows nothing about the "plot" of the opera - it's NOT a march but a lament! The tragic culmination of the first act should be played as what IT IS and not simply as just another Liszt score.

Repent and trust in Jesus. we deserve Hell for our sins. For example lying, lusing, saying God's name as a cuss word and stealing our just some examples of sin which we can all admit to doing at least one of those. For our sin we deserve death and Hell, but there is a way out. Repent anf trust in Jesus and you will be saved. Repentence is turning from sin. So repent and trust in Jesus. He will save you from Hell, and instead give you eternal life in Heaven. John 3:16 Romans 3:23❤😊❤❤
