The former Yugoslav Air Force once bought two British Folland Gnat planes. During testing, one was destroyed, they say that this plane was the starting point for the development of the Orao plane, which the Yugoslavs developed and produced in cooperation with Romania. Greeting.

Nice looking plane that i saw back in the late 70's in a Bill Gunston book. The lack of location pins doesn't worry me as i cut them off all the kits i build anyway.

The tearm „short run” refers to the molds themselves. They are made from a less sturdy material then “normal” molds. In the Beginn they where made from Silicone or similar material. But now they are also from metals, that’s why the details are getting better in short run kits. But they can produce only a limited number of Sprues from one mold, hence “short run” - that info I got from the sprue cutters union podcat, I think it was the interview with Arma Hobby

I'd like to have a go at this, always like building the lesser known jets, it's a bit different

Hi Phil! According to the internet, 'ORAO' is Croatian for EAGLE.

Would be fantastic to see them produce a 1/72 or 1/48 Sepecat Jaguar. We need a new mold! 👍

Orao is much bigger plane than Folland Gnat, at a first view they look similar. Jaguar is copy of Orao, same as BAe Hawk of G4.😉

Are they really £30?

This kit comes with many obsolete details, missing panels, hatches, wrongly positioned details... If some wants to put a good model on the shelf, You must buy Aeropoxy set for correcting all those mistakes. And to be honest, I have thia model, but it is to expensive for this scale.
