I have the mavic mini. I am glad I have to be connected to drone. I can hit the RTH button quickly and it stops the Litchi mission and give me full control. I had to do that once.

The 2 things I am so amazed about is the gimbal/camera shots this drone makes and the other is how stable it is in the wind. I guess if you are used to a mavic pro or something it might be under whelming but I come fro the toy drones that I could only fly at the most quiet days or they blew every where. This thing you let it take of and it just stays in place. It make smile every time. So far I did not see a strong wind jet. Though I saw the trees move a lot but the mini it just ignored it. Of course I do not think I would fly near a sea anyt time soon.

Thats a fair comment. It is amazing what it can do for its weight and size. I remember having a Tello and it was nerve racking to have 30m in the air lol. Remember the DJI spark?! 2 axis gimbal. 16 min flight time. Not light. The Mini was a huge jump in comparison.

@@WillEDC No. I never had any cool drones before. I bought 2 Revell Control Backflip 3D Drones for my kids 7 years ago. But no one can fly those. not even in the house. Very hard to control without hitting something they just drift every where. Than I bought a Sky Viper 2450 HD for a low pice (25 euro) because it had a camera (and I saw those pictures form drones online) but while it is a lot better than those Revell drones it still is hard (for me) to keep it steady or make it land where I want it plus the camera is no so good. But the money it probably is a very good drone. And than you have the mavic mini. Wow. You just launch it and it stays in it's place! I always worried why those you tubers did not constantly look at their drone but you do not need too. So I just do not fly in hard wind. But most of time the wind is fine over here. For the other drones I had to wait until there was 0 wind. And even than I have trouble controling them. (yes I am a bad pilot)

Those are great learner drones though

Agree the range is low grade, but in Aussie you must have un-aided VLOS, I’ve used Dronelink for over 12mths and it suites what I want, thanks for your insight into Litchi , very helpful thanks

Do you think it will better with the DJI Mini 2 ?
@WillEDC3 жыл бұрын
Should be better in a few ways. 1)Mini 2 supposed to have better wind fighting ability so it’s safer 2)Mini 2 uses Ocusync which means uploading the mission may not be necessary at all. The idea of uploading the mission to drone is such a great idea in theory but from my experience i recommend that the pilot stay connected at all times which is why i think this beta version of waypoint is good enough. I think litchi is waiting on the release of the SDK so that they can make it compatible with the Mini 2. Litchi is really great. I think the Follow function is amazing
