Can you answer a question for someone who hasn't done this in a long long time? I know you have to buy separate tickets for day and night. But can you just buy for the evening, or is it a package deal? Also, does it have a park-to-park and universal express option like the standard ticket? Their website is kinda difficult to navigate.

When you purchase a ticket for HHN you are only buying a ticket for the evening for that event. It does not get you into both parks or have Express pass. You can buy an Express pass for HHN as an additional cost. Hope that helps.

Thank you. I'm looking at their prices online. It explicitly states that buying an express pass isn't the same as an admission ticket, and must be purchased separately. Okay, that might make sense. But the cheapest ticket is $79, while the cheapest express pass (again, supposedly an add-on) is $129. What the hell kind of sense does that make??

Same. I don't care for scary things, but then again, I haven't been in a haunted house. Back in elementary school or so, when my brother abd I were trick or treating, we heard screams up ahead. Later found out what the screams were from, as once you had rang a house's doorbell, someone popped out from underneath the table next to the door that was covered with a cloth. My brother and I only jumped back slightly, but did not make any noise. The guy was surprised and gave us a little extra.

I think covering the optional daytime lights on ticket would be amazing because for those of us who love emersive sets but maybe can't handle scary things it's a great idea! Unfortunately we looked at doing it and a lot of dates were already sold out. Hopefully you can cover it in some fashion

The only time I have ever braved HHN was in 2015 when one of my friends got me into the cast member preview night. I went through one house, spent two hours camped in the pizza place because I was terrified, then did one more and had a panic attack in the middle before going back to the pizza place. I live vicariously through Molly at this time of year.

Definitely recommend doing the backstage tour for HHN as well as the HHN RIP tours. Preferably on different days haha. I did them both in the same day and I was so exhausted! But, it was definitely worth it and I got to know some very cool people even though I would never speak with them again!

I am also not a horror movie or haunted house fan (neither is my husband) but somehow this (and only this) halloween event has us coming back year after year. We even came last year for our honeymoon 😂 My best advice: Take it easy on your first visit to get acclimated. We didn't do all the houses the first year. Now, in our 4th season of HHN, we get excited to do it all! Maybe try an Unmasking The Horror Tour, too! Seeing the houses in the daytime with the lights on helped me not get so scared for the real thing that night. Hope this helps!
