Great video! I'm thinking that a new general term for the next literary period after Post-Modernism could just be called "Globalism" or something nearly related. We have had a huge expansion of literature over the past 20 years that's available to more people than ever before globally. But in the near future we might be moving towards a more decentralised/nationalist or perhaps "Neo-nationalist" literary period. Thoughts? :)
@mrbystromflipsenglishclass6924 Жыл бұрын
In my opinon, I am not sure Globalism is quite accurate - yes we have a more invloved Global community with greater proliferation of Western Literature, but I still do not think we give literature form all parts of the world the same treatment. There is still a strong preferential treatment of Western literature. But I appreciate your attempt to label it.

We are entering an era marked by Left & Right Extremism (the last epoch of the post modern falling apart of society) and we will try to move through this wasteland to the new 'Green Era'. If we can avoid a major war (maybe we could use a dash of Romanticism chucked in there).

I have one question. I think that history of literature can help me understand how life has changed over period of 4000 years. Do you think it ( literature history) can help us understand the existence of creator (God)? And what is your view-point on it ? ( I am sorry if the question is a bit naive, but just would like to get a view-point)
@Auden.3 жыл бұрын
I’m not a professional but I think so.
@staceywilson39672 жыл бұрын
You're question is really wonderful. I love your vulnerability. I think literature, philosophy, art, science, in all aspects has had that essential question in mind. In all my study, the Bible has such profound wisdom which transcends all literary and historical eras. Despite it's ancient antiquity, it's relevance to all eras, especially our post-post-modern era is quite remarkable. I highly recommend beginning your study on the existence of God through the literature of this inclusio work written by multiple authors over multiple millennia, who have an overwhelmingly unified theme. Then, as you read literature through the rest of the ages, you will see how it is continually weaving is themes through to present day. And if that is happening, and has been happening, the existence of God becomes apparent, remarkable, and even relatable.
