Sir if humanism is not necessarily anthropocentric then why is the need of Post-humanism being felt? if humanism had been enough then there wouldn't have been the need of feminism either.

Thank you so much for the interesting comment. Your point is theoretically valid; it has been the central argument of almost all schools of theory since the 60s of the last century, most of all postructuralism. However, I go with Edward Said's idea that in spite of all its constraints (which include anthropocentrism as well as Eurocentrism), it is possible to reconfigure a notion of humanism that is inclusive and egalitarian.
