I would like to get a content from you on the trend of Indians choosing non-IT job oriented studies. We know even if students choose electronics or mechanical still work on IT. But the data that you present should show the overall trend with Indians choosing the stream of work. This will give us a view to us where Indians will be and how many markets can Indians penetrate into out of IT itself. I know you can add versatile sides to this ask and present even more good informative content. 🙂✌

Whenever I talk about a book I've read in front of others, 99% of them just seem to be bored by it, or simply just listening to get through this part of the conversation as quick as possible. Well, I do not read for others, I'll continue to read for the rest of my life and continue to gain knowledge Thanks for the one like and your precious time

Reading ebooks, listening to audiobooks are also best way of sticking to daily learning practice and adapts to current generation. Nowadays children's are more exposed to visual learning through animations to understand concepts even better which was quite hard when reading via books.. preparation through visual learning aids in creativity, better learning and practical understanding which was impossible in the past where school labs are the only ways for better understanding. Thanks to firstpost and Madam Palki Sharma for this topic and it was quite useful
@nobodycares3953 Жыл бұрын
That's true but learning and understanding is one thing, expression is another. The ability to express and articulate can best be developed by reading books. Same way traditional classroom teaching method cannot be replaced by Online learning, reading books can't be replaced by listening podcasts.
@achillesglacia7700 Жыл бұрын
@@nobodycares3953 it will place verymuch less emphasis on reading books, if you learned grammar in elementary school that should be enough to express yourself, i would think speaking several languages more important than reading and writing in only 1 perfectly
@sunchi1461 Жыл бұрын
@@achillesglacia7700I somewhat disagree, not completely though. As someone who knows 6 languages, including how to read them at least, a few I can write also, it is not just about expressing oneself. The words can fire one's imagination in ways that is sometimes difficult or different than learning something visually. Giving a small example here. Read a book and then watch a movie. Seldom the movie lives upto your imagination. Also words, when read, can mean something else entirely to one person than it would to another when not expressed vocally/without emotion. We interpret the emotions and meaning for ourselves. This by no means discredits visual learning. Both have their pros and cons.

Reading is a beautiful experience... The smell of books ... The texture of paper ... For me these tangible things add an essence to the overall experience. Then there is the thrill of reading ... The anxiousness to know what comes next ... The way a book ending makes you feel ... You cry or laugh with the characters .... Sadly the burden of studies has estranged me from my dear hobby of reading . But thanks to this video, I plan to pick up a book soon.

Sometimes I think to my self the 3 physical things I may need...things in terms of items are a pen and a paper/notebook and a book to read... If I can have these 3 things with me anywhere .. I cannot be complete and funny people know that about me... I and my books My pen and notebooks I journal my entire think process... It's really great to see someone addressing this issue. The fact that our attention is very easily diverted these days is actually true, luckily I have developed this habit of reading books now, and I have experienced a lot of change in my attention span, earlier I couldn't even sit through a movie because reels provided me the same pleasure let alone books. They had a Settee in the hall which had 3 cupboards crammed with paper backs.I used to take one book out of it (Perry Mason,Agatha Christie) and went on reading for hours together. The head of the family observed this and allowed me to take home as many books as I want. I remember finishing the whole lot within few months. Such was a fascination of books for me.

I remember reading every day as a child, and now I'm here on YT on my smart phone. The combining of everything onto your phone has made it a problem for sure. Once we hit the '90's we really hit the sweet spot with technology and real life. I wish we could go back.

As an English teacher, I strongly recommend that young and inexperienced readers begin with short graded readers such as the Oxford Bookworm Series. These graded readers are intended for second language students and contain many pictures to accompany the texts. The readers are arranged in 6 levels (according to level of difficulty in vocabulary and grammatical structures). I have used them for many years in the Middle East with teenagers and young adults. The students I taught in Riyadh loved them and became very avid readers, gradually building their own home libraries. Many of these stories retell famous English classics and modern stories in language accessible to beginner and intermediate level students. Later, the students can progress to the stories in their original form.
