@@texasrocks8428 Reminds me of a racing game that I used to play back in the days: Online, there was always that one guy who'd pick up the worst car to choose from the lot on a given track---usually a racing car on a sandy track with no grip whatsoever, where you were bound to 'swim away' as the car was made for racing tracks, not off-road driving--and he'd still end up in at least third place, against everyone else. Sometimes, it doesn't take the best car as long as you can handle its deficiencies. :'D

Gonna say it here too because for the future it may be helpful. There are encounters in the open world (one by Franklin's house -the supermarket with blue awning- and on the most north east corner of the highway) that will get you a gunman and a driver for your heists (respectively). They have the highest skill level and take a smaller cut than the ones you currently have (with high skill) with the gunman taking 12% and the driver taking 5%. The best advice from here on out is to choose Paige (when neccesary) and the two you find in the open world as your crew. The takes from here on out are either fixed, or so high that the 32% cut to them won't even hurt you. High skilled crew members will never die or drop their take during the heist. Low skilled ones have the chance to not complete their task 100% (if you picked the other driver, he would have had sport bikes instead of dirt, and not given directions, but would still make it out alive/free), and always have a chance to die, either from taking too much damage, or scripted moments.

TIP: You can say hi to people by pressing the right arrow button ( just like RDR, but you have to be on foot), sometimes they'll start conversating with you. Also you can flip off other drivers and each character would say something, just toggle to the fist when you're in the car (press x until you get to the fist). Enjoying your streams.😎

(Posting before watching) A nice tip to note: if a mission marker is located at any of the protagonist's homes but more than 1 protagonist can start that said mission, it's best to start it with said protagonist. In other words, if there's a mission for say, Trevor that starts at Michael's house, start it as Michael if possible. You'll most likely get to see more cutscene that way instead of walking into the middle of one with no idea what happened prior.

Like you , i had never played this game until recently. (Early 50's father of two teen boys)..lol. Saw my youngest replaying it, and gave it a shot...I am obsessed now..lol. It has such replay ability, with different heist scenarios/crews. I enjoyed my second play through after finding out the best routes and means to complete missions. Im hoping you figured out to expand mission briefs after completing them with X button. Fun to see how you faired for gold status and dollar figures on heists. A little tip: while your vehicle jumping in a mid air, try to control it with left stick so you don’t ended it up upside down. The LS repair is not just fixing the car, it’s also customize it boost your speed and upgrade the handling too. So next time pick a beautiful car you like you can upgrade or one of your character’s unique car.

So an advice for races : If you have trouble controlling your car , DO NOT GO too much ahead of the other racers.. The npcs in this game are programmed to have a mechanic called "Rubber Banding" i.e. the further you go in front of them , their acceleration increases exponentially..

A tip for getting away from cops easily, when hiding with a car you need is to actually get out of the car, and take cover behind it, in a way that the AI doesn't see you. There is of course, a button option, to lay down in the car, but they can see you if they get too close, so I always did this instead.

Normally you can switch cars during "searching stage" to get a black arrow , so cops have even difficult time seeing you. There used to a glitch to apply that to current car by getting out and back in while standing in a bush (which also gives the black arrow), and I doubt they cared to patch it in E&E

It's a good thing that you picked up the loot when Norm crashed his bike. A lot of first timers don't do that and assume the loot is lost. If you don't pick it up, you're essentially leaving $1.5M behind. A good gunman won't crash his bike but will charge more. Anyways, were you able to find Packie McReary? He was in GTA IV (not sure if you played that yet), but I used him in all my heists.

HUGE WARNING: DO NOT buy a car until the end when you are super millionaires after the main heist and saved assassin missions from Lester. If you do not store your car in your garage, like if you leave it somewhere on the map or die while driving around and doing stuff, the car doesn't go back to your garage nor does it go to the impound. There's a glitch that never got properly fixed and you very very frequently just lose it, it vanishes and is gone.

1:03:10 The way this worked out is actually how you can make the most money from the jewel store. Norm crashed, so you don’t have to split the take with him. But you drove over his part of the take on the ground so Franklin picked it up. I honestly thought you missed it, but I guess when you’re that close to Norm when he crashes the jewels just fly right into Franklin. So yeah, going with the cheap gunman is a gamble, since you could end up losing a third of the take, but it worked out for you. Incidentally, choosing a cheaper driver wouldn’t have really mattered. You don’t get as much warning about turns and stuff, and he picks bikes with worse traction in the sewer, but you get there in the end. Choosing a different hacker would have given you less time in the store, but as it turned out you had time to spare.

One explore-y thing you can do is call your friends and hang out with them as often as you can. (Jimmy, for example, told Franklin that they could hang out together some time.) You can do activities with them like the golfing you mentioned, but the activities themselves isn't the most interesting part. The coolest part is that you gain access to a LOT more dialogue between the characters while they are hanging out, which helps you understand the relationship dynamics between them much better, and it generally fleshes out the characters more. Also, if you do that between story missions, you sometimes gain access to unique dialogue where the characters comment on the current state of things. For example, if Michael and Franklin hung out early in the game, they would sometimes talk about Michael owing money to Madrazzo and stress over it.

Across the street from the intersection where Franklin's house is, is a Pharmacy and large parking lot. In that parking lot is where you meet Packie Macready as a freak & stranger ? mark. Help him escape the cops and he ends up being a solid choice for heists as a gunman. Even better, going along the highway up to the northeast side of the map, just west of the large tunnel you drive through, you will see another "?" event. This will appear in the median between road sides. A woman, Elena Montoya, is by a crashed car. If you help her, she becomes the best driver you can pick. Cheap and very skilled. Rickie is the best hacker as long as you keep using him to raise his skill because he stays cheap. It's always a great idea to store a decent stolen car in each person's garage. A great area for car selection is the hills around Michael's house. Plenty of high end sports cars. And yes, if you get a dancer to like you, some you can go home with and they become a booty call. No i'm not kidding lol. There's even 2 other NPC's in the game you can meet that also can become booty calls.

I've never tried heists without just the suggested people in diamond heist who I keep the whole game though I knew there were other alternatives. Maybe I'll try this out when I do my PS5 playthrough, my goal is to make all 3 billionaires at the end. I fell just short at about 900M each in my PS4 100% playthrough.

@@megafan2000 at least twice you want to use a weak gun man so they end up getting killed and you keep their share of the loot. The jewelry heist and the Paleto Bay bank job. For the gem heist, the guy will crash his bike and you can pick up the loot. For the bank job, a weak gunman will get rammed by a cop car as you are making your way to the train. For 3 billionaires, save the assassin missions AND michael's ? encounter on the west side highway... A guy needs a ride to the airport and will give a tip on stock if you succeed. It's another 30% profit, so save that til after the big payday. Double check the stock orders for the final heist, final mission killing off what's his name (i think Augury Insurance gives a 100% profit at the end) and the assassin missions. Mike will break 2 billion alone.

You can play tennis and golf with all the characters, I would suggest playing as Michael he has a court in his yard and will vs Amanda, also you can call certain people on the phone and hang out with them to do various activities like go drinking, watch a movie, play tennis etc. I suggest playing around with these options. Another tip is call a Taxi sometimes if you don't want to drive a long distance or don't have a car, it acts as a sort of fast travel too if you choose that skip to destination.

44:56 The next time you see an armor truck I wouldn't try to rob them with the guns you have now but if you are going to try anyways I would shoot the front and back tires first and take out the guards, once you kill them use a shotgun to open the back doors but you have to do everything as fast as you can cuz cop are called right away. Note it make take about 30 shells to open the doors with a shotgun. The second and easiest option to steal the money is I would recommend using a RPG or remote explosives but you don't have that unlocked yet. BTW, the armor trucks can carry between $3,000 - $8,000 or $10,000. 1:04:38 You accidentally picked it up which is a good thing

Had my wallet stolen in a strip club and didn't know it until I got back to to base. Went straight back and threatened to put the place off limits to all military. They scrambled and found it minus cash which was my lesson cost 😂. Yellow bar under mini map shows special ability time. That hotel has a garage that drops all the super cars at random times. Enjoyed watching until KZbin started locking up on me at the strip club. Thanks for entertaining me again.
