23:05 "Urinating fully and easily" HAS to be top 5 all-time closed-captions. When John asks not to be put under the hood, because he's afraid of the dark, he's asking like a frightened boy about to die, who can't stand the thought of dying in the dark, alone. It kills me every time. 😭

@Stone_Horse "Neither do you" For context in the novel Del was sentenced to death for raping and murdering a girl, and then setting a building on fire to destroy the evidence which subsequently killed 6-7 other people. So ye, Del was far from a redeemed soul, even though he did seem genuinely sorry for his actions at the end. The part where you see Del laughing at Percy wetting himself is a glimpse into who he was outside, much as when he grins at Percy after Hal orders him off the block at the beginning.

Never be ashamed of showing your true feelings, young lady. The fact that this movie touched you so deeply. Only proves you have a good heart. Im a 62 year old Army Veteran,Ma'am. Please dont take this the wrong way. I wish I could have been there to let you cry on my shoulder. I destroys me inside when I see a lady cry. But I saw you have a wedding ring on. So I hope your partner comforted you. You see, I cry during sad or overly happy movies. I was taught that a man isn't supposed to cry. Especially in front of women. It isn't tough enough. I am glad I got the chance to watch your reaction to this movie. Gives me hope that not all the people in the world are full of hate.

Hey girl, sending you a hug all the way from germany. You've chosen one hell of a movie. One of my favorites. Still, the one favorite I rarely watch. Because this is some heavy. heavy stuff. And it hits close to home considering the fact that I work in a prison fortress here in germany. We have no death penalty, for that I'm grateful but as a warden, who is working with so many different inmates for almost 8 years now, you are also getting in touch with all their stories, their lives, regrets, hopes and dreams. It's not for everyone to work in a place like this but I'm happy. For I'm convinced that what I do here every day has some meaning and purpose.

This movie kills me every time I watch it. No use trying not to cry. Somehow, watching someone else get destroyed by this movie too makes me feel a little better, more normal, more validated for the emotions that always erupt out of me. Thank you for putting yourself through this one. Amazing writing, acting, story, and characters. So deep. Congrats on 20k - you'll be at 100k in no time! Love watching your reactions, hun. This is the first reaction of yours that I have seen. Thank you. The pain you felt and the tears you shed are a testament to Michael Clarke Duncan and the amazing talent we took for granted. I'm also happy you took notice of how he was singing to calm himself at the execution. Other reactions have failed to notice that; likely because they were just overcome with emotion. Every actor in this film did a phenomenal job.

I always felt sad for Paul because he had to watch everyone he’d known and love die, even Elaine for that matter. I wouldn’t want that kind of torment my own self and for no one else either. Great reaction as always!
@MarcoMM17 ай бұрын
Great reaction like always, love this movie. The late Michael Clark Duncan said this was the hardest role he had to prepare for. For emotional scenes, Michael Clarke Duncan would recall his father leaving him as a child. There are some fun-facts about it. Fifteen mice were used in the movie. Each spent months being trained to do different tricks. Coffey's bed was built shorter in order to make Michael Clarke Duncan look like a giant He also stated that he was genuinely scared when he had that shotgun pointed at him. I missed reading the books when they first came out and kinda wish I would have read them before watching the movie. And congrats not many people realize at firsts that John Coffey is a Christ figure. He appeared out of nowhere, as if he had just “fallen out of the sky.” He had foreknowledge of future events. He can see the good or evil that is in men’s hearts. He can heal illness and afflictions and resurrect the dead (if it’s not too late). He is innocent, with a pure soul, yet he is made to suffer and die because of the sins and wickedness of others. And even his initials are J.C., just like Jesus. (Recall the scene where John is watching his first-ever flicker show, and the light from the movie projector is illuminating his head from behind, just like a halo: The Christian symbolism is unmistakable) Keep up the good work. And btw you should react to Schindler's List it will break your soul and its another you must watch movie.
