I dropped a pair of lithiums in my Pursue. With 200 watts of folding solar I’m can go forever off grid.

That refrigerator does in fact run off of shore power as well. I have the same exact trailer and got a recall notice that wires weren’t installed from the back of refrigerator to the power distribution for it to run off the battery. It would only run on 120. They sent me the parts I installed the wires runs off of both.
@rvsmalltalk6272 жыл бұрын
Yes indeed! I did say that incorrectly. I had another, earlier InTech (a prototype build, actually) and had to connect that trailer's refrigerator to the 12-volt system as it was originally only wired to the 120 circuit. In all, when those connections are in place, I really like the 12 volt compressor fridges.

Now that you have a year's experience with your InTech Flyer Discover, could you let us know how you are enjoying it? Are you happy with the Lithium battery upgrade? Have you had any issues with towing vehicle alternator supplying energy to the new battery? I have just purchased an InTech Flyer Explore and will pick it up in a few weeks. I am planning on upgrading the battery to Lithium and since I am a newbie, was hoping you might share, or anyone?? Thank you in advance.

I picked up my Explore at the end of June. I have a LiFePO4 battery that is scheduled for delivery tomorrow. That means this weekend I'll be attempting to install it. Fingers Crossed...

Very nice, looking at getting one of these. I’m a Texas Peace Officer(& Traffic Safety Officer) and travel a lot for work, so to avoid hotel stays I’m looking at this. Are you allowed to give a MSRP on these?

I did mine 2 years ago, Works great. I had to change the controller out , but not that difficult just extra expenses.

Ah, I hope to get some mileage out of this before finding a different option for a battery monitor.

Thanks for the video, how did you handle the top venting portion of the battery cover? I know it vents to outside on the side of the trailer. Did you block it off? Thanks
@rvsmalltalk627 Жыл бұрын
Hey there! I blocked off the vent with some foam gym-floor padding (the type that fits together like a puzzle) that I had laying around the garage. I cut it to size and that’s about it.

I am subscribing to you because you're cool. I'm not familiar with your feed but it would be nice to know the specs of your new battery and how that conversation did or did not satisfy your electrical needs (and what those needs were/are). I am most interested in creating an efficient-as-possible hybrid solar-gasoline system. So a bit of solar, a bit of generator, and a bit of shore power...hoping to not use gasoline or shore power at all, but loving the backup possibilities. And I forgot to add that I want all the comforts of home. Climate control as needed to stay comfy and plenty of energy for whatever I chose. So like super-bright LED flood lights for instance.

Here's a link to the nitty gritty specs on the battery I usedL cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0469/5742/8899/files/EX-G27-120XDP_Spec_Sheet-web.pdf?v=1643405718 Also, I have been pleased with the performance so far, since I have such a simple trailer. I haven't "maxed out" the battery yet, as we've only done short duration stints, so far. I'll have to get out more often and put it through more paces! Thanks!

Nice job brother! How did your upgrade turn out? I ask because I am interested in the same trailer. Tell me about your solar setup please to keep that battery charged. Thx!
@rvsmalltalk6272 жыл бұрын
Hey T.V. Outdoors & Hobbies! I'm just running with a small, portable folding solar array from Renogy right now, 100 watts. This trailer is so simple that a full charge from shore power and towing to our destination should get us 3 to four days of use just off the 120 ah battery. I'll likely find more projects down the road to add more functionality, capacity, and charging, but that's what I'm up to at the moment!

If you get a chance I’d like to know what little drawer unit you put in the trailer. I noticed it when you were flipping in the stop photos at the end of the video

How is the AC in the unit. ? Luv the trailer
@PrincessCraft2 жыл бұрын
I'd say... it works. If I'm in the hottest part of a Texas summer, I quickly close up the beds during the day to reduce AC leakage out of the canvas tip-outs and the trailer stays nice and comfortable. Pretty much any other scenario I've camped in during other times of the year or in other locations, it's been just fine, even without folding the tip-outs in during the heat of the day. Keeping the tipouts under awnings has proven to make a huge difference in direct sunlight, too.

Do you need an inverter for this trailer?
@PrincessCraft2 жыл бұрын
The simple answer is no, but the real answer is "that depends." The trailer works as designed from the manufacturer. If you would like added capabilities, then you may choose to add an inverter. I haven't needed an inverter in the years I've been camping with trailers, but I would consider adding one if I had more need to use the wall outlets (110) for appliances. Currently, my family has been great with the simple setup and using the 12v power system, when needed. I hope that helps!
