I'm so, so HAPPY to see new support for Mermail, I has always love this deck and this support is really really good, especially Shadow Bodyguards who start lots of combos Poblems of the deck are always the same (Shifter, Droll and Nib), but he have new weapons to be competitive one more time And what I love the most with this kind of deck, it's you can play it with so many differents way that you want

Turn 1, this deck can set up a discard 3 from the opponents hand and put up negates/interruptions. Mouling plus Deep Sea Sentry on opponents turn will make this deck tier 1 at some point, the combo is super slept on.

in play testing I realised that neptabyss the royal mermail can cycle abyss-scale - I just had it and abbysglacia on the field, they activated bonfire, it auto negated thanks to the abss-scale, then I used abbyssglacia to pop, since I discarged a card, neptabyss the royal triggered and RE-equipped itself with hte abyss scale and abyss scale isn't once per turn so it can negate ANOTHER spell. Thats pretty excellent

The hell. That last game, fiendsmith went +7 through a monster negation, (and technically through any combination of monsters on board assuming not more negations) without even using their draw and ending with an OTK and it technically only required 3 cards in grave to do... Wow....

The deck will get hit to make way for Sharks and Mermails. If not they will hit it in the next banlist. By that time Water may have a new structure deck. I don't think they'll nerf Water in a banlist, they'll just put out a more broken archetype like they did with dragon rulers to nerf Mermails.

It’s worth noting that if you play abyssocea it gives you a way to access neptabyss with when you draw teus plus any water. Makes a really good board too.

@@Ragnarok540 I’d say rn dweller is pretty banging. Stops fiendsmith, stops a good number of SE cards, stops yubel. Like only a handful of decks can even play through a board without their gy, much less through 3+ interactions, and strong ones at that. I’m not disagreeing with you, but it’s one of those times when dweller IS good.

When you are handripping your opponent those omnis go crazy like if you handrip two your opponent has 4 cards and you have two omnis it's really hard to beat that, but without the handrip dweller puts in a lot of work

I dont think so. Because to use Dominus from hand, your opponent needs to have to control a card, that is kinda hard if he goes second

You can use lv7 synchro (prima donna) to special Water Statue from deck (this is a combo line ft. the other deep sea monster that banishes face-up.

@@Lithium2300 by the way, by running the XYZ armor fortress and Armored shark, you can make a second toad in a one card Prince combo. The end board of one prince becomes: Hand rip for 2. double toad, a synchro 10, virtue stream, heavy infantry in hand, Neptabyss the royal mermail and Mermail Abyssalacia. toad on 5th summon btw :)

I wonder if you wouldn't just run the trap negate abyss mail going first instead? I feel like Evenly is a lot more devastating than Super Poly and since the negates on the mails are mandatory I feel it's harder to bait out the trap one. Finding some room in the extra for Dweller would be another thing to try.

You can negate evenly with toadally, the spell negate equip helps because it negate on resolution, so it can get super poly, dark ruler and droplet, which toadally can't respond

Superancient Deepsea King Ceolocanth is also a pretty sweet target for Abysshrine to summon out, with Fishborg Harpooner being a good card to summon out alongside Abysspike(s) to go into Dragite or Bahamut Shark. Also unlike Lapis Dragon Harpooner isn't largely a brick when it's in your opening hand (though admittedly Ceolocanth is) with Harpooner being able to trigger many of your effects.
