@anbu_fear890112 күн бұрын
Pure with savage
@andrejv.283412 күн бұрын
@@gengstar09 FS with apo is by far the strongest version This version is insane too but it's much weaker against hand traps and less consistent, as the fs engine and snake eye diabellstar are insane starters/extenders The only thing the synchro version is better against are board breakers as FS doesn't play hope harbinger, but most decks that aren't called tenpai or sky striker can't jam in 10 board breakers and still be consistent so that's not really much of an issue

To be fair this version of swordsoul shouldn't have even been in the tournament at all.

This match is a prime example of powercreep. Swordsoul, who won the 2022 CBC, was oumatched and got destroyed by a much stronger deck.

The only real reason SwoSo was as "dominant" as it was is because decks at the time couldn't run as much non-engine. The deck was ALWAYS fragile on the normal summon, but could usually play through one hand trap. The deck cannot play through 2 or more when cards like Taia are gigantic choke points where Imperm can potentially outright skip your turn.

It was also in a zero follow up format where it didn't need to justify its complete lack of followup
@mcmisterhd192013 күн бұрын
Yeah same thing with purrely, it was nice when decks with a lot non engine slots and small 1.5 card combos existed (I guess we do have centurion now which is maybe rogue post support). Now thats no longer a selling point but a requirement to have (much stronger) 1 card combos, often not even 1.5 as before, and 20 HTs

@donaldlivingston7513 күн бұрын
Wow. Pretty damn impressive from Snake Eyes there. They really are the best deck of all time at least when it comes to conventional card design. Tearlament is just simply a different beast altogether that broke most established rules on what you're allowed to do. Next matchup is always a good one! Chaos vs Undead. Likely going to be super close, but gotta give it to chaos.
@N1201513 күн бұрын
I'm amazed on how broken mystic mine was... Jokes aside, Snake eyes' main strenght is how much non-engine they can pack while still mantaining consistency. This also shows how overrated most floodgate backro is. I mean, they did next to nothing in this match, because they're meta-dependant, frailer to beat than they seem, restrict less than you would expect (but also interact annoyingly with rules) and are very inconsistent because they're not material for any combo. Ironically FLAMBERGE was the most effective floodgate and is just disruption who turned into a floodgate by coincidence. Meanwhile Handtraps are more consistent and can just disrupt any combo, while 1-card combos like snake-eyes can easily run lots of disruption while also playing efficiently through them, and are the true issue alongside the price.

@@fabioferrari7475 well flamberge would be harder to bring out if you got rid of the field spell plus it would matter if you use its effect on i:p to put it in the backrow or another card so if you got rid of the field spell it would actually make flamberge a choke point for the i:p combo didn’t really think about this did ya bud
