Ah, I remember this taking an age to get developed. I always thought it was Core Design that released it. Amiga Power gave it a panning if I remember right, yet The One loved it. I swear I have an ADF version of this that will run on a A1200 with a GOTEK. I got to rummage in my archives now. Great vid as usual Mr Gouldfish. Keep it up.

There is a 14 disk rip on EAB's FTP server. However this is HD Install only.
@GouldFishOnGames2 жыл бұрын
It did get a PC floppy release, but as far as I'm aware it didn't get an official floppy disk version for the Amiga. and I get the idea that it might have been Core as it share a very similar art style with a few of their later games.

Always remember this game being THE game to showcase the CD32's capabiities, literally every piece on the machine had this game as an image somewhere.
@GouldFishOnGames2 жыл бұрын
Between this and Microcosm they needed games that couldn't be done on floppy disk.

@@GouldFishOnGames Were there any FMV games on the CD32? I know the CDTV had some like Psycho Killer Etc. But anything specifically for the CD32?
@GouldFishOnGames2 жыл бұрын
Amazingly no, I don't think there was. Lots of games with FMV intros.

Never played this one but always remembered it! I'd probably of played it as a kid but the mazes would drive me potty now :D

Interesting game. The art style reminds me somewhat of the Hugo games (not the adventure games, but the one with the troll you would play with your phone)
@GouldFishOnGames2 жыл бұрын
Yeah I can see that. Some of those were released on the Amiga (the train track one, off the top of my head), so you can experience that again by shouting at some one to push the joystick. 😁

@@GouldFishOnGames They were also released for PC. I have two of them :)

Compared with the regular Amiga games we were able to pack this game with sound effects. I had great fun creating foley effects for things like footsteps. I thought it was a fun fresh idea but I could never get anywhere playing the game.

Walking through hell for a pizza? Yeh, I get it. 😄 Lovely looking game with a great (if sometimes uncomfortably dated) sense of humour but it’s one of those games where you’re more steering your character than controlling him. Great video again, thanks. You did the game justice in under 13 minutes.

Interestjng game and fair review. I am far from saying it is my favorite, but all those animations look great in montion and I like that feel when I manage to solve another puzzle room. I manage to finish first two levels, but give up on third, maze was too big for me.
@GouldFishOnGames2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, that is completely fair.

Fabulous vid! Looks interesting... contains puzzles! Sexy ladies! Fish! But having to beat a troll to load the game? Madness!
@GouldFishOnGames2 жыл бұрын
Was never sure why they did that, just felt so unnecessary
@Vakantscull2 жыл бұрын
yeahhhhh that design choice to make you fight the troll to load your game....that's bull
@GouldFishOnGames2 жыл бұрын
Yeah not sure why they thought it was a good idea. I don't think anyone enjoyed doing the fights

A very pretty non-game. Similar problem as Guy Spy had. Not an outright FMV game but very much restricted by its presentation.
@ChrisFranklyn2 жыл бұрын
This is a great run-through, but it brings back the crushing disappointment of how CD based games always seemed to be a step backwards in playability and even the quality of the character animation.

In the early days it was developers trying to come up with ideas to justify all that extra space. and while it was relatively easy to fill up 10mb to 20mb there was still hundreds left. so you ended up with games that showing off how all the extra space was used.
