I guess you didn't see my teardown 😢 It's a fantastic battery! Cylindrical cells, in my opinion, are way better for the application-a vibrating vehicle. 👍

I missed it :( But I just watch it now :) The batteries you have are a little different shape, and you have BT BMS. But clearly the cells are the same, and they are very neat cells. Fun to see something different. Thanks Buddy!

Very cool. I'd rather have a 48V 25A battery than a 12V 100Ah, but not many options in Amazon the last time I looked.

Can you use the battery charger for a series of these batteries?

There is clearly demand for these smaller 48V (51.2V LiFePO4) batteries. Prior to this one, the only other small-capacity 48V/51.2V battery that I know about is the Lithova 48V (51.2V LiFePO4) 25Ah battery. The Lithova battery is a group-24 form factor... a really nice motorcycle-style small form-factor (quite a bit smaller than this LiTime battery's form factor). But not a golf-cart battery... the Lithova doesn't allow much surge whereas the LiTime allows 2C operation for a short period of time. The biggest advantage of the LiTime is being able to run 2C bursts of power with a relatively small BMS due to the higher voltage and lower amp-hours. Makes for quite a lot of power in a small system. However, it is a bit over-priced. The Lithova is only $230 @ 25Ah while the LiTime is $427. Massive difference in price for just 5Ah, to the point where I'd just get 2 x Lithova's for 50Ah and parallel them for 50A continuous operation. I'm a bit surprised that they used cylindrical s. I would have expected pouch cells. That's why their battery form-factor is relatively large for the capacity. -Matt

Great insight! I need to check out that Lithova brand. From what I understand cylindrical cells can provide higher discharge rates. Maybe that's the reason behind the choice? Thanks :)

@@BradCagle I don't know re: discharge rates, you could be right. Pouch cells are typically paralleled in 12.8V small-form-factor batteries... sometimes 4p. But for 48V there wouldn't be as much room to parallel at 16s.

I paid over $800 three years ago for my 48v 30 amp golf cart batteries. They seem to be losing voltage like crazy the past few months. Any idea why ????? thanks.
